Hello and welcome, or welcome back to another video.
As you can tell by the title, this is going to be another reset vlog, and a much needed one, might i add.
I feel like over the past couple of weeks, my mind has just been all over the place and there are so many tasks that i've been putting off and avoiding doing that i know if i just sat down and tackled them would make my life so much easier and i would feel much better.
So That is what we're gonna do in this video.
You guys are gonna hold me accountable as I try to finally do the things I've been avoiding and just overall work on getting my life together a little bit.
I just wrote out a to-do list in this adorable little notebook.
It's literally, it's so cute.
I'm obsessed.
I just got it in the mail and I wrote my little reset to-do list in it.
The way I like to structure my resets is usually I like to kind of categorize my tasks according to whether it's mature whether it's school or work related and then i also like to include like some sort of self-care in my resets as well so on this list i have a little bit of everything and to me those three categories kind of make up an ideal reset routine that is the plan for today's video i'm honestly really looking forward to it because i feel like these past couple of days i've just been a couch potato to be honest i have not been very productive or motivated and i feel like i just need to actually like take charge and be productive and force myself to actually get things done and then that'll kind of kick start hopefully my motivation and my energy levels because right now my energy is like here hopefully by the end of this video it's like a little bit higher because sometimes when you're in a rut you know you wish someone would come and get you out of it but a lot of the time you just have to do it yourself as painful and as unpleasant as that might sound that being said enough about that um i'm gonna start by tackling some chores and doing some cleaning even though i don't really want to but i know i'm gonna feel so much better once the house is like clean not that it's particularly messy but there's just a few things i want to do for instance i've been meaning to vacuum for the longest time but i've been putting it off and now dust is slowly taking over there's like colonies forming in the corners of the house and they're multiplying by the minute and i also really want to tackle the upstairs bathroom every morning when i've been getting ready for the past like week and a half i just walk in there and i'm so frustrated because everything is scattered it's just a big mess i can't find anything and i know i would feel so much better if i just took some time to clean it but for some reason it's like one of those tasks that i hate doing um but we're gonna do it in this video it's not that hard like i just have to clean i like cleaning i just have to get in the right mindset so i think i'm gonna do a clay mask for my face just to like do a little bit of self-care and multitask while i clean and then either gonna put on some youtube or like some music to get myself more motivated or at least make it a little bit less boring without further ado let's get started good evening everyone because yes it is now evening i have been cleaning all afternoon but i feel good about it honestly it took me a while but i got it done that's all that matters i'm especially happy that the upstairs bathroom is now tidy and organized because that was really bothering me and now walking in there it's like a fresh clean space it feels great since it's already 5 30 i don't think i'm gonna do much for the rest of the day to be honest i might just do some readings for school because i have a lecture i need to catch up on for my online class and might as well get the readings done now so that i can do that tomorrow but other than that i think that's all i have in me to be productive today good afternoon everyone and happy sunday as you saw this morning my sister and i went cross-country skiing which was a lot of fun although i won't lie i am exhausted it was a full body workout it's my first time going this season so i was a little bit out of practice i also have not been really working out consistently at all for the past two weeks so i think that definitely showed but nonetheless i really enjoyed it and i'm gonna sleep great tonight so that's good i feel like starting your day by like being outside and doing that kind of outdoor activity is just so nice so anyways after that we went to this little bakery picked up some sweet treats for later and also went grocery shopping to stock up on a few things for this week but yeah since i've been home i just took a shower had lunch kind of relaxed a bit and now i'm gonna get back to work and continue this productive reset next on my little reset to-do list is just to catch up on some work and school related things try to catch up on my assignments and my classes and make sure i'm on track because as i mentioned in one of my other videos one of my goals for this semester is to make sure i'm submitting my assignments early and i'm not waiting until the last minute so so far i've been doing a pretty good job at it and i want to keep that streak going i did crack open a little energy drink to keep myself awake and get me through this study session yesterday i pretty much caught up on my readings and now i have to watch a lecture for my online class so that's what i'm going to start with last semester i got an ipad for uni and so now i use it to take notes and annotate my readings but also just like honestly for anything i love this thing i bring it with me everywhere and i use it even for making thumbnails and whatnot so i spend a lot of time on it one thing i will admit though is that writing on an ipad doesn't feel quite as satisfying as taking handwritten notes So that is why I'm very happy to be talking to you about today's sponsor, which is Paperlike.
The Paperlike is a screen protector for your iPad that was conceived to replicate and mimic the feel of taking handwritten notes.
That way, you can write more comfortably on your iPad screen.
Their unique technology creates a slight resistance for your apple pencil, so that when you're writing it'll mimic the haptic feedback of writing with pencil on paper.
And one thing i also really like about the screen protector is how it reduces glares and refractions, which are so annoying when i'm working, because i often find myself squinting and i can't see properly.
But thankfully, with a screen protector, that is no longer an issue.
Whether you're a student, a digital artist or a writer, the paperlike is a great tool for all ipad users, and it was also super easy to apply.
They have all the instructions listed very clearly, so the application process was really seamless.
Paperlike also offers a 100 day satisfaction guarantee, so If, for any reason, you're unhappy with the product or if you didn't manage to apply properly, Paperlike will send you a replacement or a refund within 100 days.
Make sure to head over to the link in my description to try out the Paperlike for yourself, and thank you again so much to Paperlike for partnering with me.
Now let's get back to today's video.
Good morning everyone, and happy monday.
I made a blueberry matcha this morning because i wanted to try something new, but i haven't tasted it yet, so i thought we could do a taste test together.
Wait, that's really good.
I think I put a little bit too much maple syrup because I was scared that the blueberries would be too bitter and it would be overpowering.
But other than that, this is really good.
I want to like keep trying to make this recipe and perfect it.
I mean, recipe, it's nothing very complicated.
I literally put blueberries and maple syrup in the microwave and then strained the syrup and made my matcha as usual.
But anyways, my plan for today is pretty simple.
I just want to continue this reset routine this morning.
I took a little bit of time.
I did some eye patches and also planned out my week and did some journaling for the week ahead, which i always love to do, usually at the beginning of the week, either on sunday or monday.
I feel like lately i've kind of neglected or like not really been consistent at doing this, but it really does make a difference.
I feel like just mapping out everything i have to do for the week visually on like a little planner or notepad like this, or even on my notion page.
I feel like it just helps me see, like what i have coming up and then it also reminds me to like schedule you know fun things here and there for myself, or like little moments for self-care, which is always really great.
I'm really glad i took some time to do that this morning and now we're going to continue with the rest of this reset routine.
I am honestly nearing the end of my to-do list.
I will say at the beginning of this video my energy and motivation levels were like this high and now i can feel them getting higher just from like accomplishing things and checking things off of this list.
I feel like it's building momentum and That is a great feeling.
So if you're struggling with like getting started or with just getting one task done, set really small objectives, break it down.
And I feel like that's just going to help you build momentum and slowly work towards, like making progress on your bigger to-do list.
I booked one of the editing rooms on campus to work on editing a project for class.
So I booked that for four hours this afternoon, but I'm really hoping it won't take me four hours to work on that, because it's like a dark room.
There's no windows, it's not very pleasant, but at the same time it is much nicer to edit there than at home, because it's just a nicer setup.
So i'm gonna go over there and work on that and hopefully, if i finish early, i can also head over to the library and get work done for my other classes there.
So that is the plan for today.
I do have a little bit of time before i have to get ready and head out, so i thought i would take advantage of that to cross another task off of this list, and that is to track and update my finances.
I mentioned in my new year reset video that i really want to be more financially responsible, or at least like more financially literate and just more on top of my finances generally speaking.
So i feel like by taking a little bit of time to just track my spendings and review them for the first two months of the year so far, it's going to be helpful and yeah, it's just a habit i want to get into.
So i'm going to do that.
Listen to the music.
