When stopped he told police he was rushing to a job interview.
He now faces multiple charges including reckless driving.

Yes, and people, when they look at me, I've never heard someone say, Oh my God, are you George Clooney?
No, I've never heard that.
But I have heard a lot of people say, Oh my God, are you Brad Pitt?
Yeah, and it's embarrassing.
No, I'm not Brad Pitt, but I understand.
Yeah, we are similar.
And actually some people have even said, Oh my god.
Are you Mr. Bean? I...
I... No, I'm not Mr. Bean Let's go back to the first story.
Yeah, this is uh kids...
A 19 year old in Connecticut.
So America has 50 states, one of the states is Connecticut.
It's in the North -Eastern part of the USA.
A 19 year old in Connecticut was clocked driving at 132 miles per hour on the interstate.
The interstate, it's a very big road, at least four lanes, two lanes going one direction, two lanes going another direction.
The interstate has no stop sign, so once you get on the interstate, as long as you have gas, you can go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
However, in every state there is a speed limit, there's a maximum speed that you can go.
I live in Vermont and the maximum speed is 65 miles per hour.
In some areas in New Hampshire, the state next to me, the speed is 70 miles per hour, the maximum speed.
I remember when I was driving in Texas, the maximum speed was 80 miles per hour.
That's pretty cool.
that's pretty fast. I'll get to miles per hour and kilometers per hour in a minute but this boy was driving 132 miles per hour per hour because we say the word hour when the police check your speed they use a speed gun but the verb they use is clocked.
So it's like a it's like a speed gun.
It's like a radar and they They like press a trigger, cheeky, and then they see your speed.
And the verb they use is clocked.
So a 19 -year -old in Connecticut was clocked driving at 132 miles per hour in the interstate.
132 miles per hour, about 210, maybe 215 kilometers per hour.
That's fast. That's pretty fast. Now, when I was young, and I remember this, I was 17?
No, I think I, yeah, I must have been 17.
When I was 17 years old, the cop stopped me and he clocked me driving 205 kilometers per hour, yeah, in my car, And I had two girls in the car too.
I was driving really fast. I had a 1971 Plymouth Fury 3, if you know anything about cars.
It was a huge car. Huge engine.
And I was driving just over 120 miles per hour.
And the cops stopped me.
The speed limit was 55 so I was more than double the speed limit.
and You know what the cop said He said stop showing off stop trying to look cool and don't ever ever do that again and I said, yes, sir.
I'm very sorry and he let me go He did not give me a ticket, which is Insane, but that was a long time ago What year ?That was probably 1985.
It had to have been 1985.
Since then, oh, I've done I've done some crazy driving, but not that bad.
Yeah, not that bad.
Anyway, when stop this kid wasn't lucky, like me.
When stop, the police obviously stopped him.
He told police he was rushing to a job interview.
Oh my god. I'm sorry.
I have a job interview.
I'm late. So I was driving really fast to get to my job interview He could have killed people on the interstate what I lived in the country when I was young when I was driving 120 miles per hour there were no cars anywhere zero cars except the cop And he was parked and he saw me.
So evidently I wasn't the only person to drive really fast But anyway, he told the police he was rushing to a job interview So this is like a busy road where he's driving a hundred and thirty two kilometers per miles per hour rather.
He now faces He has to go to court He has to meet a judge and he'll be face -to -face with the judge.
He now faces multiple charges speeding reckless driving Endangering lives and I don't know, you know out running a police car I don't know what the problems are but he has many many problems that he has to answer to multiple many several charges CH ARG ES multiple charges speeding reckless start reckless driving means, you know driving like a crazy man crazy driving Reckless driving.
Yeah dumb kid but I Don't know girls ladies Do you guys do that too?
I know some of you do but I think the majority of women don't.
I would think women are a little bit more intelligent in that area but guys, yeah it's, it's something that we do.
So here's a question.

but restaurants, not just one, but several.
Restaurants in Richmond, Virginia.
So Virginia is another state in the US, it's close to Washington, DC.
Within Virginia, there's a city called Richmond.
So restaurants in Richmond, Virginia have reported to police a peculiar trend, a strange trend, trend, something that is popular and growing more and more common. What is this trend?
Patrons, P -A -T -R -O -N -S, patrons meaning customers, stealing, ah, steal, S -T -E -A -L, that's terrible, stealing what?
Stealing odd, peculiar, strange, weird items like, like what?
Hotel desk bells. Ah yeah yeah.
Have you ever been to a hotel and there's nobody at the front desk but they have a bell that you can ring?
Ding. People have been stealing those bells.
And hotel glasses. You know there's a glass.
A water glass, a wine glass.
Maybe it has the hotel name on the glass.
People have stealing those and beer steins, you know the 500cc large beer glasses people have been stealing those.
What the heck's going on?
One incident, one situation involved these are not dumb people a group of doctors these are not children these are professionals a group of doctors several doctors taking items during a company funded meal.
So there was like a hospital meal, a company meal, and all these doctors went to this nice place and they were drinking and they took the glasses!
Owners of these restaurants express a mix of amusement.
It is kind of funny, doctors stealing glasses, what the hell?
And frustration over the trend.
This is not a good trend, that's money!
That is money, right?
Be honest. Have you ever gone to a restaurant or a bar or a hotel?
And taken something?
Have you? I have. I have a, I have beer steins.
Yeah, I have one beer stein from a great bar, from a hotel in Seoul, South Korea.
It was called, the bar was called O 'Kim's.
It was downtown. It's fantastic.
I still have it. It's really cool.
And I have, there at the time in, a long, long time ago, there was a night club called Feroz at the Hyatt Hotel and they had really cool beer steins.
Beer steins, B -E -E -R, beer, steins, S -T -E -I -N -S.
Those special glasses for beer.
So I have two. I should take a picture.
Yeah, I'll do that.
I'll take a picture of my two Stolen beer steins that I still have I might have a third one if I do I'll take a picture of that, too And I'll put it in the community So yeah, I've done this recently no Yeah, I do take their toothbrushes because I like use it for travel.
I'll leave it in the in my car what about you have you ever stolen anything if you have let me know let me know take a picture and finally actor George Clooney 64 years old dyed his hair dy e d dyed his hair colored his hair died his hair dark so like I don't know dark brown black something like that have you ever dyed your now women Women, you know women, a woman's desire for happiness seems to include her hair.
So it seems that women commonly, you know, I have long hair, short hair, curly hair, straight hair, dye their hair, sometimes wear wigs, it's quite common or not uncommon for women to do this.
Guys, not so much. I know My dad did a little bit in his 40s I know he did but I I've never dyed my hair and I think about it What do you guys think?
You know Should I dye my hair?
Have you seen me? If you haven't seen me don't look you don't want to know me just think of Brad Pitt.
Yeah, that's what I look like Anyway now George Clooney is famous for his Silver hair.
Now silver is a nice way to say gray.
Oh by the way in America we have two spellings G R E Y and G R A Y.
Some people will say in the UK it's G R A Y, in America it's G R E Y.
But Americans used both so don't don't believe that, don't worry about it.
But he's famous for his silver hair so that the line here George Clooney dyed his signature silver hair dark.
He dyed his hair dark.
What hair? His signature, his famous silver hair.

New York City? All the musicals and plays, you know, Phantom of the Opera and I don't know any others.
But anyway, these are the Broadway plays.
The very famous Theater District in New York.
George Clooney is doing a play and for the play he dyed his hair.
Clooney joked that he looked like he was going through a horrible midlife crisis.
So Clooney made a joke about his hair, right?
He was probably on a talk show doing an interview and he joked about his hair, and he said he was going through, to go through something means to experience something, but it's very difficult.
The thing you are experiencing is very tough.
So Clooney joked that he looked like he was going through a horrible, a terrible, a miserable midlife crisis.
Midlife. M -i -d -l -i -f -e, crisis.
C -r -i -s -i -s. Crisis.
Disaster. Emergency situation.
Do you understand midlife crisis?
you know Midlife Crisis right?
It's that it's that sixty year old man who has no hair and he is fat and he's driving a really expensive sports car.
Sports cars should be driven by guys in their 20's let's be honest that's when if you're like 27 years old and you have a sports car that is cool but then you get married and you have children things slow down you get a bigger car you get an SUV and then like you're 60 years old you're older now you're you're married yes you should be married and you know it's like now if you have money you buy a Range Rover a Mercedes -Benz a something that you slow down.
But men who experience a midlife crisis, many times they'll buy an expensive sports car to feel young, cool and fresh.
That's the idea of a midlife crisis.
They dye their hair, they try and find a young girlfriend until their wife kills them last sentence he expressed eagerness he told how he wanted to return to his natural look there you go yeah that's what you get with me my natural look you get my natural look my natural gray my natural...
I'm sorry... Silver.
My natural silver. My natural bald spot.
My natural pot belly.
My spare tire. My fat gut.
Yeah everything you get with me is natural.
I hope that's okay.

Hey everybody country Shane here, when people hear the phrase midlife crisis they often imagine someone suddenly quitting their job, buying a motorcycle, or making wild changes, but here's the truth, most people do not go through the classic midlife crisis, in fact studies show only ten to twenty percent of people actually experience it, so don't worry!
Great point, Country Shane, you know I'm not young, I'm 57, can you believe it?
I'm 57, I can't believe it.
And I don't think I've ever experienced a midlife crisis.
My life is just, you know, 57 years of crises, but you know, I think I look at it this way.
A midlife crisis doesn't have to be a bad thing.
I mean, for some people, it's like a wake up call and it could lead to a better life.
You know, they might start a new hobby, travel to new places, maybe write a book that they've been dreaming about, lose some weight, right?
Get healthier, start eating healthy.
A midlife crisis can push people to think more deeply about what matters and to make choices that lead to happiness and growth.
Yeah, think. Another request song, Aretha Franklin.
Simple tips for mastering English.
I know I've got lots of business people here and everybody says, oh, I want to know business English, business English.
What is it? And we don't really have it.
However, we do have expressions that are very common in business English.
So I've got three idioms for you.
I'm not necessarily idioms, but three great phrases for you that are very common in business English.
The first is actually kind of like a phrasal verb.
Circle back, let's circle back.
And you hear this one in meetings and emails, you'll read it.
Someone says, oh, let's circle back.
They mean, let's talk about this subject again, later.
Oh, this is a good subject, but let's talk about it later.
So for example, we don't have the answer yet, but let's circle back to this topic at the end of the week.
Okay, it sounds very friendly and professional, and it's great when you're not ready to make a decision or if you don't know the answer yet.
Another good expression, to move the needle.
This actually refers to driving the speedometer, that thing that points at your speed as a needle.
But in business, this expression means to make a real difference a big difference usually in performance in sales and results of what you're looking for so for example that social media campaign really moved the needle for our brand awareness that's what I'm trying to do these days lots of social media on all different platforms and I want people to know about me know about us know about our classes know about our podcast, just know everything about us.
So we're working on social media campaigns.
Nothing has really moved the needle yet, but you know, we still try.
So if something moves the needle, it really makes a positive difference.
One more, touch base, to touch base.
This is another great idiom, which means to make a quick contact, just to a quick hi, often just to check in or to share an update, hey, let's touch base tomorrow about the new contract.
And that would be like a quick phone call about the new contract, okay?
I'm calling you right now to touch base.
How is everything going?
Okay, just a quick phone call.
That's the idea. So for example, can we touch base tomorrow about the client presentation?
Yeah, that's it. It's a polite and efficient, And it's a softer way of saying let's talk and the nuance again it's gonna be brief, okay.
So three really very common business expressions, you can use them in daily life too but you definitely hear them in business.
To circle back, to move the needle and to touch base.
Can you create situations where you could use these expressions?
Maybe you can. Can you speak English really well?
Well the speaking challenge is coming up but here's a guy.
He's British, I think he's from Birmingham.
He's a rapper and I apologize if you're listening to the music version.
There are some bad words in the song, but I chose this song because you guys know Eminem, the rapper, amazing.
He's really good and he's very clear.
His speaking is very fast but quite clear.
This guy is faster and just as clear as Eminem.

Ah, yes. Last week, we had a memorable festival experience.
Evelyn, the Cannes Film Festival, the French Riviera.
Tell us about it. In May 1999, my husband and I were visiting the french Riviera and Saint -Tropez i remembered the magic of the Cannes film festival it was an exciting moment a real once in a blue moon experience wow how lucky is that my goodness that's where you can see George Clooney by the way so the question was what was the event who did you go with and what made it memorable there's so many festivals uh you know local festivals like i remember when i lived in korea every community had a festival it could have been the the you know the the the kimchi festival or i don't know there's just
there's a festival about everything the red pepper festival the uh mask dance festival there's millions and millions of festivals then there's the olympics these are festivals the olympics themselves or large sporting events.
These are festivals.
Of course, there are music festivals and Hajime told us, Hajime lives in Japan, told us about a lantern festival.
It's a lantern festival in the summer night, lantern.
It's fantastical, isn't it.

It's flag day. We like our American flag I love everybody's flag.
Everybody's flag looks really cool.
Is there a country whose flag I do not like I don't think so.
I think they're all cool and And once again on June 15th, it is Father's Day.
I was blessed to be able to go out to Las Vegas last week where I met my dad after several years.
My goodness, five years?
Yeah, it's been about five, five and a half years since I last saw my dad.
And he's getting up there in age.
So I introduced Mikey and Jimmy, he saw Jimmy for the first time.
And it was really wonderful.
It's very nice to see my dad so yeah, and I'll send him a little Father's Day gift So anyway, I hope that you have a great Father's Day and I got a song and It's about fathers and this is actually if you listen to the song if you have a relationship with your dad This is a beautiful song my dad and and my and me our relationship It was you know everybody's father son father daughter relationship is different But James Blunt has a song called Monsters, and it's just beautiful.

A lot of people say I look like Hugh Laurie to Brad Pitt Hugh Laurie mr. Bean Hugh Laurie will be 66 years old on June 11th on June 12th and Frank very famous she had her diary from Back there in World War two.
A lot of people know and Frank she would have been 1996 on June 13th Mary Kate and Ashley Olson there are twins and they're 39 years old their actresses and child actresses They're too skinny Tim Allen actor and comedian is 72 years old.
Do you know him Tool time I think was his show.
I mean his fake show June 14th, which is flag Day unbelievable Donald J.
Trump, 79 years old on Flag Day.
Wow. And Boy George, 64 years old on Flag Day.
So these are two very different men, Donald Trump and Boy George.
And who do you like better?
Donald Trump or Boy George?
It's almost the opposite, right?

She's 61. That's Monica from Friends.

I'm guessing she's 15?

Self -sabotages at random, it's a frequency problem.
