But now we're on to our last leg of this trip and we're going to venice.
This trip has been absolutely amazing so far.
My parents were also here with me to be able to experience such a beautiful place with them.
It's truly such a blessing and i'm so grateful.
We left our hotel quite early this morning and then now we are on a four hour train ride to Venice which, speaking of the train station, was so confusing to us, by the way.
We're very used to airports and everything where you arrive three hours earlier, go through TSA and security, get your ticket, check in bags, find your gate, all this stuff right?
We get to the train station and we're like uh hello, do we do?
But it's actually a lot simpler than we realized.
There's no really security line and then, only 20 minutes before, you'll be able to check in and it'll tell you what gate you're at.
So we were kind of getting anxious because we were like, oh my gosh, our train leaves soon.
But once it got closer, then it told us where to go and we're all good.
So we made it on the train, might get some rest, might get some editing done as well, but it's gonna be a really great trip and i'm so happy you guys are here to come along.
So, with that being said, i hope you guys enjoy this venice vlog and i'll see you there.

First we have a little storage area.
They just brought up our luggage and stuff, so we're gonna settle.
But we have some rows and a nice mirror.
And then you walk through this hallway and wow, over here they gave us complimentary fruit and champagne.

Welcome to our Venice hotel.
This is where we'll be staying for the next three days, and now we just got ready for our first day in Venice.
I'm really glad we took the earlier train because we got to rest for a little bit and then now we still have a full day.
We honestly don't really have plans.
We're just gonna see where the wind takes us for this trip.

I'm wearing my new tote bag that I got in Rome.

I think I'm gonna put a coat over this though because it's so really cold.

They're now turning.
It's only been like 20 minutes of us walking, but I already love Venice so much.

We were saying how compared to Rome, we think it's a lot more peaceful in a way.
Like in Rome, you're like, oh, I need to see this place.
Rome's like in New York.
Yeah, it's very city.
But here the vibes are like romantic and chill.
I feel like that's more my vibe when I go out to vacation, same.
So we're just gonna take our time.
I think we're close to the strip of shops, that's where i want to be, and so i think we're going to try to do most of our shopping today so that we could do other things tomorrow and the day after that.

This street is called san marco district, which the guy at the hotel said is the most dangerous place in venice because this is where all the shops are.

Okay, i need to do a little more research, but i'm pretty sure there's a festival called carnival here and we came at the perfect time.

And then my parents, both of them were like in and out.
It always sucks because with international trips you like get used to the time by the time you leave.

Yesterday, when we checked into the hotel, they were giving us some suggestions on stuff to do here in Venice.
And so there's going to be a boat that comes literally to this dock, right here in front of the hotel.
We're going to go to a little island and then the boat takes us to St.
Mark's Square, which is one of the most popular places in Venice.
We also brought our masks because Carnival is going on too.

I did more research last night about Carnival, so I wanted to share.
It's a centuries-old festival that dated back to the 1100s, which is so cool.
The masks are about dropping social status, so anyone can wear them because anyone is accepted.
It doesn't matter where you come from.
It's about freedom, anonymity, and drama.
The streets and the canals turn into a moving theater, especially around St.
Mark's Square, which is where we're going today.

We woke up at the very last second, went to breakfast and then now we found a Catholic church right next to our hotel.
We're gonna try to go to Mass.
It was indeed in all italian, so we couldn't really understand obviously, but we still got to pray, we still got communion, we still felt yeah, we still felt god's presence and also it's a catholic church, so we were saying the prayers when they were saying it in italian.
Yeah, we were saying english, like our father, apostles creed.
That was a great start to this sunday.
Hello, It's been a little bit.
I was actually getting some homework done.
I've gotten some questions.
People are like, do you still do school when you're away?
Yes, don't worry.
Whenever I travel for work, I always communicate with my professors.
Half of my classes are online too, so it's easy for me to just get work done wherever I'm at.
And I always make time to finish all of my assignments when I'm traveling.
But now we are finally getting ready to go out for the day.
Like I said, we're taking today a little bit slower just because it's our last day.
We want to take our time.
But my main priority of today it's to buy souvenirs for my friends, and this whole trip i've been like okay, what should i get them?
You know, in the past i've done keychains or little pouches, but i'm like, are they gonna use it?
So i was trying to think of something more practical and things that my friends would actually use, and me and my mom came up with a great idea we're gonna get everyone pasta.
It's not so cute because all around the city there's pasta shops, and so i think that's the perfect gift.
So today i'm gonna try to get all of my friends some pasta.
So yeah, we're going to have a bomb last day here.

The next morning we said bye to the hotel and This trip was seriously so amazing and I left with such a grateful heart.
