I have always dreamt of having an entire room dedicated to getting ready.
This room would be filled with all of my favorite makeup and hair products, have a super organized closet filled with all of my favorite things, my dream vanity setup that I could sit at for hours and the perfect place to start and end my day.
And I cannot believe that became a reality in this video.
Um, it was exactly a year ago that I put together my first vanity and now, a year later, to have this entire room is so surreal.
But this has been an absolute dream come true.
I'm so excited.
I am so ready.
So let's get started.
Here is my very empty room.
I'm so excited for this transformation.
The biggest part of this makeover is gonna happen on this wall.
These are my favorite inspiration pictures.
I mostly wanna utilize storage and organization throughout this room because I'm gonna be keeping pretty much everything in here.
I want something really girly and decorative, but I don't want it to look super cluttered.
And the biggest thing I want to build in this room is my closet.
Here is my design.
This was so fun to customize and put together.
I wanted to really personalize it based on what I wanted to store in here.
I am so excited.
So today we went to Ikea.
I bought all of the pieces I needed and now I have a lot of building ahead of me.
I honestly don't even want to start this building process because there is so much to do.
Like the amount of boxes is insane.
There's so much going on on this side of the room.
I am so excited to see how this turns out, but this was so much work.
I got those first drawers done.
They look so good.
Is that comfy?
This entire section is done.
I was so exhausted after yesterday.
I was so over it.
But we have a lot to finish today and I want to finish today.
I am so tired of building.
I want to get to the fun part and actually put this together.
I did it.
That was so much work.
All right, so the first section is done.
It looks so good.
I am just loving how clean everything looks like it's all put away, but there's so much storage, which is amazing like the tops that i hung up the products i put out makes me very happy and honestly, i think these pull out jewelry drawers are gonna become my favorite part of this closet.
I definitely need storage like this.
I've been unpacking and moving into this house while at the same time trying to get everything organized and set up.
So it's looked so insanely chaotic.
Finally, I'm seeing a lot of progress.
I also set up my vanity right here, which I think is looking so good too.
And next I am putting together my vanity.
I am so excited to set it up.
Starting off with just cleaning the surface and the mirror and then organizing all of my products.
I haven't had my vanity set up since I moved out of my apartment.
So I'm so excited to sit here again every day and get ready.
This looks so good.
Oh my God.
This is my favorite drawer ever.
This is all of my hair products.
I'm not going to lie.
There's a lot of products in here that are like pretty much empty.
Like this has pretty much nothing in it.
I just love the container.
And these Kerastase hair products are so expensive.
So like, I want to keep them forever.
They're so pretty in their glass.
But anyway, this is all of my hair products.
I have even my shampoo and conditioner in here that I'm going to use this week.
The other ones are in my shower and I'm using them up.
I have hair masks.
I mean, wow.
I love this drawer a lot, and here are the rest of my hair products.
The only way i really organized these was kind of color coding them.
I'm not gonna lie, i love all of these and it really depends on if i am wearing my hair natural and curly and i have products in here for that or if i'm blow drying it.
Then i have, like my styling mists and styling creams and detanglers.
This is even like a hair mist, smell good.
Yeah, I have this mirror and then I have this light, which I really like.
I've actually looked at getting this for a long time.
It's like this aura light.
You can actually change the colors, but I really like the white.
I feel like it looks really clean and there's already a lot going on in here.
So I don't need a colored lamp right there.
I'm trying to figure out if this is the right spot for it.
I actually kind of like it the more I look at it.
And then with this mirror, it kind of opens everything up.
I think this area is too much.
I keep looking at it and i can't figure out what i want to do here.
I think i'm going to change up these shelves a little bit.
It just looks a little bit too cluttered.
I actually love how this looks right now.
The lighting is so good.
This makes me so excited.
Oh my god, i feel like this is the perfect wall to put some wall art on like.
It's the perfect size.
It's also like a nice little area to decorate, So of course, I'm hanging my YouTube plaques right here.
I feel like this is the perfect spot.
Ah, and look at it.
It's so beautiful.
That is insane.
Yeah.
I think we're going to have to redo that.
It's not my best work.
They're not very straight, but you get the idea.
Honestly, I think this is the perfect spot for them.
I can't believe this is my new setup.
It's actually crazy to look in the viewfinder right now.
Also, I think my cats are loving it.
I walked in here and I was like, oh my God, they found a new spot.
This video has been a much longer process than I expected, specifically because I'm moving and also setting this up at the same time.
I'm trying to unpack and organize, but I'm also trying to make it cute in here and like get everything ready.
We still have quite a few things to do in here.
I definitely want to change out these blinds I ended up changing out those blinds for curtains.
I started with only having these sheer curtains up, but my thing is I want to get fully ready in here.
Like after the shower, I want to come in here and pick out my outfit, get dressed, do my makeup and my hair and everything.
So I want some privacy, that's for sure.
The sheer curtains just wasn't giving me that at all, obviously.
Wow, that was fast.
So I decided to also put up some thin curtains that still let in a lot of light but that had a lot more privacy, and that were dark enough so you can't see inside.
And next I bought four light bulbs for the ceiling.
I had those LED strip lights on my ceiling years ago, like everyone did in 2020.
And I actually really liked the lighting that my room had at the time.
I also loved having a remote and being able to change the color, but I don't think those LED strip lights would fit this room very well.
I haven't had them in years, but I actually did really like them.
So in order to get that vibe again, I decided to get these color changing light bulbs.
You can actually change the color from your phone, which is kind of cool.
I'm just imagining myself filming in here at nighttime and being able to change the lighting like that. would be perfect so i'm really excited for those and i also got this print my favorite artist ever is hilma off clint and i actually have a lot of her work all around my house so i've looked at getting this print for a long time and i think it's gonna be so cute in here so i contemplated hanging it on the wall but i actually kind of love having pictures on the floor like i don't know why Right now I have a couple paintings that I did, and then I also bought these floating shelves.
I have some open space around my vanity and I think these would be so nice to have there, as if I don't have enough storage already.
I wanna put products and stuff on here, but I also wanna use them as decoration.
I just think, again, it's gonna fill the space really nicely without making it look too cluttered.
I went to a bunch of antique stores yesterday and I found a lot of really cute stuff.
I was mainly looking for cute jewelry dishes and plates and bowls.
I wanted a cute way to display some of my products and organize them.
And buying secondhand for this kind of stuff is my absolute favorite because I find so many things I've never seen before that are basically like one of a kind.
Like when am I going to see these again?
And I feel like older decorations and dishes are always so much prettier than anything I could find in store.
Plus it's good for the environment.
So do I need to convince you any further?
The first thing that I found is this vintage perfume mister and it's pink.
I cannot tell you when I was younger, I wanted one of these so badly.
Like I couldn't pass this up.
I just thought it was so cute.
And then...
I bought this.
I really wanted to find a cute decorative glass bowl like this.
I actually really liked the legs on the bottom, which usually I don't like, but I thought for this it would be perfect, because I want to put all of my lip gloss in here.
I want a specific bowl for my lip gloss.
It's the only thing I wear on my lips and it's what I reach for all the time.
And then lastly, I got this plate.
I cannot tell you how much I love decorative plates and I think it's gonna be perfect in here.
So I'm really excited for that.
This was a very successful antique trip.
I really like how the top of my vanity is looking right now.
It's very clean and organized, but it's also decorative, of course.
So I have this spinning acrylic shelf and then this coaster I actually bought for my desk.
I love it so much.
So I put it on my vanity.
There's my coffee and we have the new shelves over here.
These look so good again.
They're perfectly decorative, but they also give a little bit of organization.
I have my drunk elephant products here and then this is all of my lip products.
The gizu ones are my favorite, but i also love the road ones, and then there's a couple random ones in here also that I'll just pull out whenever.
And my favorite part is that they're right here next to my mirror, because this is where I like finish getting ready.
I think after I pick out my outfit and I get dressed, I'm gonna come over to this mirror and look at myself before I go out the door.
I wanna do the finishing touches, spray my perfume, all of that stuff, and apply a lip gloss.
I know I'm gonna reach for one right here before I head out the door.
It's all about convenience, guys.
I'm not even kidding.
I started looking for a rug at the very beginning of this entire process.
I knew I wanted a rug that covered most of the floor, just so it felt really cozy and inviting in here.
I wanted one that wasn't super plain, but also not super crazy.
And it was absolutely impossible to find one.
Like I wanted it to be good quality, but not super expensive.
Here it is.
It literally just came in the mail right now.
Like it was just delivered.
I keep forgetting this step.
I bought like a million of these little white pieces to cover all of the holes in this entire closet.
And I should have done this as one of the first steps, but it's not too late.
So I'm gonna cover all the holes that you can see.
I think it's just gonna look so much better and smoother without all of those.
This room has taken over a month to put together.
I cannot believe this is the same room I started with at the beginning of this video.
This is definitely the craziest transformation I've ever done.
Welcome to my dream room.
This is the craziest reveal I've ever done ever.
I am so excited to show you guys everything that I did in here.
We have a lot to go over, but I wanna start, of course, with this closet, because this was the biggest thing, literally the biggest thing that I've ever put together.
First off, It's decorated so pretty.
So starting with this side, this is actually my favorite column.
I knew I wanted to have a lot of drawers because I wanted to keep all of my clothes on here.
But one of my favorite parts are these pullout drawers.
I knew this would be such a game changer.
I have a lot of jewelry to store.
This is one of my favorite things to collect.
So I love these columns for necklaces so they don't get tangled.
I can store one at a time.
I have rings.
I have this clothing rack on top.
This is all my favorite and most worn tank tops.
I tried to make it as perfect as possible up there and I love how it looks a lot.
I actually have this basket from Brandy.
I thought it'd be really cute to have my bralettes and like lacy bras in here so I can have them when I
Get ready.
These are some of my favorite everyday products.
The saltwater vanilla scent I've talked about on my channel.
It's just really convenient.
I can have them right here, reach for them while I'm getting ready in this mirror.
At the top, it's honestly all decorative and these are like empty boxes.
And my makeup case.
But so, so cute.
I have this perfume from Paris.
And then these little, these are empty boxes from my Vivienne Westwood jewelry.
It gets a little crazy when I open these drawers.
I tried to color coordinate my clothes as best as possible.
My biggest goal, as I was putting together this entire closet, was I wanted to be able to see everything I own.
As I've talked about a lot on my channel in the last year, I've really become more conscious of what I'm buying and consuming and spending.
But that also goes hand in hand with using everything I already have, especially clothes.
And if I have something piled in a drawer or put in a corner, I'm not going to touch it.
I'm not even going to know it's there.
It's literally going to sit there forever and take up space.
So my main idea with building this closet is I wanted to be able to see everything.
I could have piled these shirts on top of each other to save more space, but i didn't want to do that because i knew i wouldn't wear anything that's at the bottom of the pile.
All of these are literally individual shirts.
I wanted to be able to see everything.
This is still a lot of shirts, but i'll actually be able to tell what i'm wearing all the time and what's just taking up space.
And this drawer is the same thing.
So again, I tried to kind of color code it.
I have my darker color shirts, but for the most part, this is all organized.
Also nothing layered.
I want to be able to see every single individual shirt.
Here I have long sleeves and here I have sweaters and that is this entire first column.
And now for this one.
My whole idea was to put these racks together so I could put my workout clothes here.
So I have all of my sports bras on top and this is actually a pullout rack. which is crazy.
I've always wanted one of these.
They're really convenient, especially for these leggings.
So I can have everything right underneath the matching top.
And then we have these shelves here.
So I have these two baskets which have little wrap, tops and sweaters that I put over my workout outfit.
And then I start to get into some of the products.
So on top of here, I have some of my favorites.
These are the ones that I use the most, like this perfume I just talked about.
I love it.
I have my super milk.
To be honest, as I was putting these shelves together, I knew I wanted it to be cute, but again, practical.
I want to make sure I have things on here that I'll reach for all the time and use.
Like this Sol de Janeiro set I love.
Same thing with these L'Occitane products.
I have another makeup case.
And then this is the rest.
These are some of my favorite perfumes and scents.
And I wanted to be able to see them so I can use them and switch them out.
But also, I didn't want it to look super cluttered.
And then here is more like storage stuff.
I have my Dyson air wrap and air straight that I love.
So I wanted it to be super convenient right there.
I love how this looks so much.
It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to arrange these.
And then at the top, again, I have more decorations.
A lot of these I associate with a memory and different places I've traveled, so I actually love seeing these on top.
And then here I have more of my long sleeves and sweaters.
This again is stuff that I wear the most often.
I have this new sweater I just bought so I put it down here.
And then this is just a little decorative shelf.
This coach bag was my obsession for years and I still wear it so I wanted to be able to see it.
For this pullout tray, I decided to do something a little different.
I wanted to be able to put anything in here, so I kind of have a lot going on.
I have random hair accessories, I have jewelry, I have my belt, but I wanted an easy place like this that I could stick the miscellaneous stuff.
In this drawer, I have my most worn bottoms.
These are all my comfy brandy shorts that I sleep in pretty much every night.
I have my favorite sweatpants, matching sets.
I love this drawer.
It's so cute.
And at the bottom we have bikinis and all of my summer stuff.
I know I won't wear any of this until it gets warm out and it's summertime.
So that gets its own drawer.
Anyway, that is this entire closet.
And next we have this mirror.
My whole idea, by putting this room together, was to have a place to get ready and unready every single day.
Like I want to do my entire routine in here.
So I had to put a mirror for when I get dressed.
I'm gonna pick out my outfit, apply my favorite scents, check myself in the mirror and head out the door every day.
This mirror I've had for a while now, it's from Ikea.
And then I got this light, which I think is really cute.
It's this like aura light.
You can actually change the colors, but I thought the white was perfect.
So it didn't look too crazy in here, but you can move these, which I love.
I love my new vanity setup so much.
I think it's so cute.
I literally put my vanity together exactly a year ago and this was so unreal to put together.
So having this entire room is so crazy, but I pretty much stuck to my exact vanity setup.
I have the same vanity light, which I love.
This little rotating acrylic shelf to have all of my favorite products.
Again, very decorative like these I got when I was in Europe.
So it's a good memory behind all of these. you know?
And then I have some of my pretty products on top that I just want to look at all the time.
I have a couple of random products up here, like this dusting powder I'm so excited to use.
And then this coaster for my drink in the morning.
I have this little poster right here.
And then on this side, I decided to put up these mini shelves to fill the space.
Down here, these are my everyday makeup brushes, like the only ones I use.
I have my favorite candle, and then this, which I just bought at an antique store in this video, and my chair i love this pink chair.
And then i have my jelly cat here.
I just thought it was very fitting.
This has been my absolute favorite place to sit.
I could spend all day right here, like i love it.
I've been working here also because i just want an excuse to sit in this room, so i really wanted to organize all of these drawers.
I have all of my everyday makeup right here.
I wanted, like the top drawer, to have the things that i reach for every single morning.
But all of the drawers are actually really organized.
Again, same idea with the closet.
I wanted to be able to see everything and use everything that I have.
So it's really nice having everything in one place and being able to use it all.
So I wasn't really planning to keep this Alex 9 drawer in here, but for now this is where it's going to be.
So I decided to put all of my crystals on top.
I have been collecting crystals for a long time.
I also have sea glass and shells.
So I love having a dedicated place for all of that.
And they really go with the vibe of the room.
And then on this side, I have this Alex 9 drawer.
I honestly haven't really decorated up here yet.
These cute key chains that I got, but otherwise I will decorate that next down here.
I wanted to keep it really simple.
What i love about this room is that it is so clean.
There's no clutter, there's nothing crazy.
I have this stack of art books that i really like.
It's just so fun to look through and it makes me want to paint again.
I have this little salt lamp nightlight and then this print, which i got in this video by hilma off clint, and i love her so much.
I love her work, so this one, i thought, was really cool in here too, And then I put up these curtains instead of the blinds that were up at the beginning.
They're actually not see-through.
You can kind of see through a little bit, but at night, like you can't see inside, which is really nice.
I need the privacy since I'm going to be getting fully ready in here.
And then lastly, over here, I have my YouTube plaque.
This was definitely the perfect place for them, because I want them visible as soon as I walk in here.
I love that they're also facing this mirror, so that anytime I take pictures or get ready.
I'm gonna see them in the background I can't believe we passed a million subscribers.
