Whatever word the random word generator comes up with, we will incorporate into the show.
The word is d***. Well, since the start of this year, we have been making a song and a dance about three announcements.
You've already heard two.
You've heard the first, which was the journal, our novel journal, My Imperfect Life.
You've also heard the second announcement, which is our Patreon, a new show called A Little More Imperfect, which you can subscribe to now.
And today we announce the third big announcement.
It's a really big one.
The themes I've brought to the show so far this season, being potential ADHD and also ghosts, they combined this morning.
I wanted to be able to do this announcement in a special way, but those two things combined, I don't have ...
You were late because you're talking to a ghost.
Without excuse, again.
One of the things I found for my potential ADHD is this incredible new routine I have in the morning, which involves going to the garage and doing like breath work, a bit of exercise, before anyone wakes up.
and I was there 5 .30 this morning in the dark.
And I was gonna turn the line and I went, no, I can do Breathwork in the dark, that's fine.
And I had headphones on doing the breathwork and it's quite loud, the music that plays.
And then I just had this feeling that someone was in there or watching me and I just opened my eyes and looked up and it was Elsie, it wasn't a ghost just so we know it.
It's like a joke without a punchline.
Nobody couldn't behave more.
She was in a nightie, her hair was in front of her face and she was just staring at me from quite a distance.
She wasn't floating.
Anyway, it gave me such a horrific fright.
I just felt like I'd do really good creative thinking in the morning before it runs up and I thought when I'm doing breath work, an idea will come to me about how we announced this today and it did not arrive.
My idea did not arrive because I was so shocked from the ghost that was actually not a ghost, it was Elsie.
So, last minute I, happy to admit, I went to chat JBT and thought, do you have any ways we could do this announcement?
And so if you'd not only did it come with an idea but it helped me write a script for how we could do this.
I've sent you the script on your, you've got it now.
Okay, Okay. So I'll start, So I'll get the first line.
Great. Guys, we have some big news to share today, it's something we've thought long and hard about and we know it might come as a bit of a shock to you.
We know this podcast means a lot to so many of you and it's been a huge part of our lives.
Yeah. So we just want to say, we're sorry, because we've realized that one tour just wasn't enough.
So, yeah, we're doing another national tour.
So I was hoping people would think we were going to say like the show's finished, we cancelled it.
And then, and then we've shocked you guys.
That's a prank, basically.
We've played a prank.
Yeah, we have played a prank.
And God, everyone listening must be pissing themselves.
Okay, a little bit of script confusion there.
Apologies for that.
That's all right. I've chapped LGBT sins, it's apologies.
So let's be very clear.
Announcement number three, we are back on tour.
We are doing a brand new live show in 2025 and we're touring the country.
And my golly gosh, are we excited to be doing so?
Oh yeah, yeah. He doesn't throw around golly goshes for nothing.
Yeah. October, November, December, 2025, we'll be touring around the country.
I'm so excited to do this because when we first did the tour, since years ago now, did our first live show, when we announced it on the show, we had no idea what the show was going to be, really.
And we kind of announced it blindly and just hoped we'd come up with something.
And I loved the process of writing that show.
I loved so much doing that show.
I think that time being on stage performing that with you guys and the guests that we had is just some of the most fun I've ever had doing anything.
And I was so focused on doing the show and making sure the show was good, but it only occurred to me when we did that first show in Geelong, that I was like, Oh, yeah, we get to see everyone that actually listens to the podcast.
And that was so nice to know you're real.
You're all real people.
And I think that was like the most probably the most rewarding thing out of all of it is to sort of see all of you guys come out and see us.
So we could see you.
It was really, really, really cool.
Yeah, I was so - I reckon I was genuinely afraid of Public Speaking before the last tour, and that first show in Geelong to, it was about 400 people in that venue, it's probably the most nervous I've ever been in my entire life before going on to that stage, but it was the first time actually I kind of had this idea in my mind that I was stuck with, like sort of an old dog can't learn new tricks so to speak, that I was stuck being a bad public speaker and that's just not something I'm ever going to be able to change.
Yet by the end of the tour, I didn't want it to end, like I wanted to keep doing shows, do more, go out on stage and, I agree, it was the most fun and I can't wait to come up with a brand new show and do it all again.
And there might be a lot...
I'm sure there's a lot of people who have only started listening to the podcast recently or in the last year or so, and didn't get a chance to come and see it.
I think the expectation that a lot of people rightly had going to the last show was that it was going to be the podcast just on stage.
You know, a lot of podcasts when they do a live show, it'll be there just another episode, but on stage in front of an audience.
This is not that. Yeah, I guess we wanted to, rather than just putting a podcast on stage, we wanted you to feel the same way you feel when you hear the podcasts, laugh like you do and learn something as well.
There was a game show, there's music, we sung a song.
There was just so much stuff.
There was some choreographed dance.
Did you say Cory? Did you want to say Cory?
It's like some Cory.
Yeah, there's a bit of Cory in there.
Yeah, I actually just couldn't...
I couldn't really remember how to pronounce Coryographed.
So I was gonna stop at Cory.
Is that what people call it, even this?
Yeah, I think cause we've now done Cory.
We can just call it Cory, right?
Cool. It's tiny bit of Cory.
Maybe more Cory. Yeah.
Hear you up some Cory?
Yeah, I very much so.
You've been listening?
No, I'm just wondering, did the thing I do, the scripted thing make sense to people?
Or are they still confused?
I think it hopefully makes sense now because the prank was, you know, albeit great, maybe just a big, confusing thing.
Yeah, I'm not sure the premise was confusing.
I think just the, the execution by chat LGBT and maybe us, but mainly chat LGBT could have been improved slightly.
I think maybe, I don't think the idea was so confusing that it's beyond comprehension.
No, okay, but I think, I think people now hopefully understand that the third announcement is we are doing another live show, another live tour around Australia.
And it's a completely brand new show.
Yeah. Yeah. It's a stage show inspired by the podcast.
Yeah. Yeah. And, uh, we, we're going to do that again, but in a whole new way, baby, should we share it?
Should we shave? Um, yeah, let's actually not shave from now.
Should we say where we're going?
Um, what cities we're going to be?
Yeah, say, say, we'll tell you in turn, let's just go around the table.
Okay. Oh, it has been Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Canberra.
That it for long or July.
Yes. Yep. That's it.
That's a Newcastle thanks bridge.
Gold. And for the first time ever, Tasmania.
And the Tasmanians respond finally because we've never been, we've never not for the live show in November.
We did the podcast episode with Gina chick, which was so much fun, but we didn't get to go with the live show and now we are.
You are listening to three men who love the apple aisle and desperately wanted to bring our show to the apple aisle, and we're doing it now.
Sounds like someone told you to say apple aisle.
Sounds like this is sponsored by Apple's.
You're gonna show off to Tasmanians that I know it's the apple aisle.
Are they still, is that still their main thing they want people to know about?
Apples? I think they have lots.
Tasmania's got heaps.
Heaps of apples. Heaps of other stuff going for it too.
Hurricane. How about hurricanes?
Ah the team. Oh yeah.
That's one of the BBL.
That's one of the Brazilian butt lift finals.
I mean, I'm... Yeah.
Wow, that's a thing that needs context?
Assuming everyone's listening to every episode of our show?
Yes, no, of course.
The Hurricanes. I thought you meant actual Hurricanes, no, but yeah, the team.
But I thought as an exercise, why don't we write the very first part of the show right now?
He's pulling out chat.
JPT? No. I'm using something much better than chat.
JPT. random -word -generated .com.
So, what I thought we could do is you give me a letter, any letter, and Josh, give me a number between one and 10.
What do you think I'm going to say?
Yes. I thought that.
Wow. I thought that.
Why did we think the same thing?
That's weird. Yeah.
Okay. Okay, so the reason I ask that is because you can ask what letter it starts with and whatever word the random word generator comes up with, we will incorporate into the show.
So, if you come, you can like, Oh, I'm looking out for that word.
Okay, so first letter, we're going with D.
Well, yeah, what's the 7?
And the number is because it offers a random word, but I've, you can keep generating words and I'm gonna press the generate seven times.
I'm gonna go to the seven word.
Well, what if it is a word that we would use anyway?
It won't be because I've, I've made it extended words.
Okay. So the bigger words.
Here we go. You ready to find out what the first part of the script is for the live show from the imperfects.
Yep. In 2025 tickets available now.
Okay. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
it's because of this one, the word is dolcem.
I don't know what dolcem means.
I was thinking dolcet, like dolcet tones.
Yeah, that's a different word.
It's not the word. I was thinking dol's house.
No, it's a different word.
Maybe sometimes it's only when you sometimes have dolcet tones.
Yeah, or sometimes you go on the dol, maybe.
I'm dolcem. Can we get, shall we get a definition?
What's the definition of dulcim?
D -o -l -e -s -o -m -e Drurio Mornful we can work that in.
We can. Drurio Mornful.
I'd love us to have one H actually.
Okay. Shall we go the next?
So do you want that?
Who wants that one?
No one does. I'll take dulcim.
And then Hugh, you'll take the next one and then Josh, you'll take the following.
The next one is, Dosses.
Dosses. Dosses. Well, if you could, D O S S E R S an idol person.
So Dosses. I'm not doing much.
Yeah. The Idol. You.
Bunch of Dosses to the audience.
Okay. Hugh you've got Dosses.
She's great. Josh. Your word for the live show is, Oh my God.
Dicktronix. Dicktronix.
Well, no, no, no. No, no.
software's a vibrator.
Bellah. D -I -C -T -R -O -N -I -C -S.
If you can find a definition, that's okay because we're definitely using it and Josh, you can just figure out a way to incorporate it.
Any luck or no? Well, that's fine.
It's a word. It's come up.
It's random. We're using it.
Okay, so And so if you want to get tickets for - I'm nervous about public speaking.
I will actually. I mean, it could be, as like just an idea, it could be like, and Josh from Dictronics is here to talk about new electronic dicks.
It could be, it could be a great song.
We could sing Dictronics.
Yeah, but it could just be a word in a song.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, this is all for us to work out, but you can definitely expect that word.
