Easy English expression rehashed.
Hello, everybody. My name is Coach Shane, and welcome to Easy English Expressions.
Come on, let's master English.
Coach Shane here. How is your weekend?
It is a lovely Saturday.
We have a big snowstorm, but yeah, it's all right.
You know, we just finished our Black Friday Cyber Monday sale and it was a great sale.
Shopping is a big thing.
And today's expression is kind of related to shopping, not 100 percent, but you can definitely use it for shopping.
Enjoy. Let's go back in time.
Today's expression is.
Go all out. Go all out, man.
Don't go all out. You should go all out.
At the end, go all out.
What? Go all la la la.
Go la la la. No, no, no.
Go. All. Out. G -O. Go.
A -L -L. All. Out. O -U -T.
Go. All. Out. What does it mean to go?
All out. It means to give 100 percent.
So if you're in a running race like a marathon and you go all out, you give all your energy, 100 percent to doing a good job.
When I make these podcasts, I go all out.
I do my best to make the podcast easy.
And believe it or not, I do my best to make it short.
I know sometimes it's long.
And I do my best to make it useful.
I go all out. This is a great expression.
When you do your job, you should go all out.
If it's your mom's birthday, do you go all out?
What kind of things could you prepare for your mother's birthday?
Maybe a cake and a present and some roses.
Or maybe not your mom.
Your best friend, your husband, your wife, your girlfriend, your brother, your sister, your dad.
Somebody. If it's their birthday, sometimes you want to go all out.
Buy something really expensive.
Make something really nice.
Take them to a very nice restaurant.
It means to do 100%.
Okay? Let's check out a dialogue.
Look at all the bags.
Summer shopping. I went all out this year.
You don't have summer clothes?
They're last year's clothes.
I can't wear last year's clothes.
Oh boy. Yep, yep, yep.
Some people, every season, they like to buy new clothes.
And evidently, that was a woman, everybody.
No, it wasn't a guy, it was a woman.
So she went summer shopping, summer clothes shopping.
And evidently, she bought a lot because the guy said, look at all those bags.
So of course we can imagine the woman has many, many, many, many, many shopping bags and she went all out.
She bought everything.
Shoes and I don't know, what else?
What else do women buy?
Summer clothes. What do you guys think?
Do you think I go summer clothes shopping?
Do you think I go winter clothes shopping?
Do you think I go shopping?
Yeah, no, I don't. By the way everybody, you can leave me messages on a couple of different places and I'll let you know.
And you can tell me what kind of shopping you like to do or how you like to go all out.
On Twitter, you can find me at at coachshane, that's C -O -A -C -H -S -H -A -N -E.

Do you go all out if it's someone's birthday?
Do you go all out on the job?
Let me know, let everybody know.
Let's listen to the dialogue two more times and then it's time to say hello and thank you to the people on iTunes.
