Hello. You are listening to my first podcast.
A magical world of sounds made for you and your baby to enjoy.
Together, we learn about everyday sounds and the words that go with them.
I'm Lucy. How are you today? In my first podcast, we listen to all the sounds we can find around us.
There are so many sounds that we hear every day. worlds clangs buzzes zap and rings, tickling in your ear sounds and booming far too noisy sounds. each day is filled with sound.
And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too.
Did you hear that? I hummed a tune by gently singing while keeping my lips together.
Can you make a sound too? Maybe your grown-up can help.
That's brilliant. It's time for our sound adventure.
But before we can start our adventure, we need some sounds from our magical bag.
Here it is. This magical bag is full up with all kinds of sounds whirling around together.
Listen closely now, and I'll open it up a bit so we can hear what's inside.
What can you hear? That's a very long sound.
Hmm, I think it's an animal of some kind.
Of course, it's a cow. Mu says the cow.
Time to pick our sounds for today's adventure.
Why don't we give the bag a good shake and see what sounds pop out?
Let's dive into our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found.
A sizzling pan, a creaking floor. Let's shake it up in two...
That's a funny sound. I think it's a kind of bird.
Do you know this sound? Yes, it's a duck, quack, quacking away.
So our first sound is a duck. That one is quite a crackly sound, isn't it?
I know what it is. Do you? That's right, it's a paper bag.
Paper makes a brilliant rustling sound when you move it around.
Well done bag. Now we have our two sounds, a duck, and a paper bag.
Now we just need one more sound for today's adventure.
And this sound will tell us where our adventure will happen.
We could be outside or inside. we could be at a fairground or in a library.
Let's open the bag of sounds one more time.
It sounds like we're outside. There are people talking and laughing.
I can hear the wind in the trees and the gentle lapping of water.
Ah yes. I know where this is. Do you? It's a river.
Sometimes at the park there is a gently moving current of water called a river.
Rivers are very important because they are home to so many animals, including ducks.
The ducks love it when we visit. especially when we feed them tasty snacks like oats, seeds and sometimes even lettuce.
So for today's adventure we are by a river with some ducks and a paper bag.
And this is Georgie. Georgie is on a sunny day out with her best friend and their grown-ups.
They're at the park by the river, getting ready to feed the ducks.
The grown-ups bring big paper bags full of oats and seeds, so Georgie and her friend can sprinkle them on the grass for the ducks to eat.
It is so much fun. I wonder when our sounds will pop up.
Listen closely for the ducks and the paper bag.
Can you spot them? Here we go. Oh, yay!
I saw it. Ooh, yay! I will. Ah, ha, ha!
That's okay. feeding the ducks sounds like a really exciting day out.
Georgie and her friends had a brilliant time.
And I think the ducks loved it too. Did you hear them quacking and the paper bag rustling?
Let's listen again and see if we can spot the sounds.
Shout out loud when you hear them. Yay!
I saw it! I found it! Yay! I will! That's the paper bag.
The duck's quacking. The paper bag. The ducks again.
The paper bag again. Did you spot our sounds too?
Good job. What a lovely time we had feeding the ducks at the river in the park.
It's time for us to put the ducks and the paper bag back into our bag of sounds. there.
All of our sounds are safely back in the bag, ready for our next adventure.
Before we go, let's sing a song all about the sounds we heard today. go tweet exploring the park with our family and friends we feed the ducks to the day and Listen close to what we have Quiet ones, noisy ones, whistles and clothes.
Crashes and vials are sad Come let's listen everyone Thanks for joining me on our sound journey today.
