Hello and hi to all you pinkamazing friends out there.
I'm Pinkalicious, and this is my little brother Peter, also known as Peterrific, which rhymes with terrific.
Welcome to our podcast, where we play our favorite songs and do pinkatastic things together.
Like dance, because today we are dancing out loud with Pinkalicious and me.
So dance with us if you can, okay?
In the car, at home, in your yard or wherever you are!
And sing along too!
Here we go!
Can you help me tie my shoelace?
Sure!
So the first thing we're doing is putting on our dancing shoes!
Mine are sparkly!
And mine are loud!
Mine sound like this!
Wait, how come your shoes are louder?
Maybe because you're wearing sneakers?
I definitely need louder shoes.
Let's go look in my closet.
Loud shoes.
Loud shoes.
Nope.
Nuh-uh.
No way.
What about these?
Those are slippers, Peter.
They're definitely not loud.
Ooh, how about these boots then?
My hop along, Peter, yee-haw boots.
Try them.
Nice.
We'll wait for you listeners out there to put on loud shoes.
Or soft shoes.
Or stretch your bare toes.
Whatever you need to do before dancing.
We'll hum while you get ready.
Is everybody ready?
Pinkatastic!
Then let's start with... The Jumping Song!
All you have to do for this dance is bend your knees and jump around the room or right in place.
Pretend the floor's as bouncy as a trampoline.
One, two, three!
Let's dance!
I love to jump, jump, jump.
Jump everywhere.
With my feet off the ground, I'm lighter than air.
Jump, jump, jump.
Oh, I'm jumping so high.
It feels like I can fly.
I can jump here and there with the greatest of ease.
I can jump up and rescue a kite from the trees.
It makes me feel happy and breezy and free.
Whenever I jump, I feel I love to jump, jump, jump, jump everywhere.
With my feet off the ground, I'm lighter than air.
Jump, jump, jump, oh, I'm jumping so high.
It feels like I can fly!
We can fly!
Jump jump!
That was jump-tastic!
We jumped all the way out of my room, hopped down the stairs and into Mommy's workshop.
Phew!
I gotta sit.
I love this room because it's where mommy makes inventions like the Cloud-O-Matic and the Glitterizer, which is how my shoes got all sparkly.
Peter, what do you think of all these tools and cranks?
Well, I love all the worry things, the gizmos and doodads, and the buttons.
Pinkalicious, we make inventions too sometimes, like Robotta.
Hi, Robotta.
Robotta was supposed to help us clean, but mostly, she just made a mess.
Remember that robot dance we made up?
Let's do it again!
That's a Peterrific idea!
If you're wondering how to dance like a robot, it's so easy.
Start by bending your arms up and down stiffly.
Pretend your elbows are creaky.
Pretend your knees are creaky, too.
And clonk your shoes extra loud.
You can also do a robot-y kind of spin.
Like this!
Whoa!
Oops.
Only be careful not to spin into anything.
Are you ready?
Let's dance.
Beep, blop, blip, blop.
I want to move like a robot.
Beep, blop.
Move like a robot.
Blip, blop.
Legs out, legs in.
Come on robots, time to spin.
Arms up.
Arms down.
Come on, robots.
Turn around.
I want to move like a robot.
Flip-flop.
Move like a robot.
Flip-flop.
Walk and step and stop like a robot.
Jump up.
Bend down.
Let's all make a robot sound.
Beep.
Clap hands.
Stomp feet.
Dancing to this robot beat.
I want to move like a robot.
Blip blop.
Move like a robot.
Beep blop.
I want to move like a robot.
Beep blop.
Move like a robot.
Blip blop.
Legs out, legs in.
Come on robots, time to spin.
Arms up, arms down.
Come on robots, turn around.
I want to move like a robot.
Move like a robot.
I want to move like a robot.
Blip, blop, stop.
Pinkamazing!
I could robot dance all day.
Hey, do you smell what I smell?
Mmm, I think Daddy's in the kitchen making waffles?
Pink cupcakes, my favorite.
Come on, let's go.
Wait, can we do one more dance before cupcakes?
Yes, let's see.
We did a jumping dance, then dance like robots.
Let's do an animal dance.
Oh, a rhinoceros dance.
Or a tree sloth dance.
A sloth dance would be so slow.
I'm thinking of an animal that likes water and moves in a funny way.
You mean like a pigeon?
I'll give you another hint.
The animal rhymes with truck.
Block.
No, wait.
Muck.
A muck dance.
Or die?
Got it, a duck dance.
So how do we do it?
Just flap your wings, say quack quack, waddle forward, then waddle back.
Flap my wings, say quack quack.
I got it.
Let's dance.
If it's a duck that you want to be, come along now and follow me.
I will show you the way.
Come on.
Flap your wings, say quack, quack, quack.
Now waddle forward, waddle back.
Shake your tail and you will see how ducky being a duck can be.
Hey, I think I've got it!
Yay!
Come on, duckies!
Flap your wings, say a quick quack quack.
Now waddle forward, waddle back.
Learn the moves and you will see how ducky being a duck can be.
How lucky being a duck can be.
How ducky being a lucky ducky can be.
That was awesome!
The oven timer!
The cupcakes are ready!
Peter!
The dance is over!
You can stop waddling now!
Oh, I know!
But waddling to get cupcakes is way more fun than walking!
Quack, quack, quack!
Thanks for dancing with us, all you pinkatastic friends!
Keep your dancing shoes ready, okay?
You never know when you'll want to jump or move like a robot!
Or waddle.
Hurry up, Pinkalicious.
The cupcakes are so good.
And I'm eating them all.
I'm coming.
Quack, quack, quack.
Peter and I had so much fun singing with you today.
Before we go, I want to introduce you to a special friend of mine, Victoria Tan.
Hi, Pinkalicious.
Thanks for inviting me to your show.
Victoria, I know a lot about you.
We are friends after all.
But will you tell everyone else a little bit more?
I would love to.
So, as Pinkalicious said, my name is Victoria Kan and I'm the author and illustrator of the Pinkalicious book series.
I'm also co-executive producer of the TV show Pinkalicious and Peterrific on PBS Kids.
Victoria, I was hoping, along with kids all across the world, that you might answer some questions.
Would you?
Sure.
That would be fun-tastic.
Hi, my name is Oscar.
And I'm Lucas.
And we live in the United Kingdom.
Our question is, what's your favorite kind of music to dance along to?
Well, I like to dance to all kinds of music, but especially something that has a beat or that has rhythm.
I love reggae music.
I love Brazilian music.
I like sambas.
I like pop music, rock music.
I also love a very good waltz.
Who doesn't like a waltz?
I like any kind of music.
I'd love to hear another question if you have one.
Do you have a favorite dance move?
I do have a favorite dance move.
I love to spin.
I love to twirl and spin around, but I have to be very, very careful when I do it, because I like to do it a lot and I get very dizzy.
Oh, wait, I also like to shuffle off to Buffalo.
I love to tap dance.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
I really like to move like a robot.
I can't really tell you which is my favorite.
I like to do them all.
What are your favorite dance moves?
What do you like to do?
I'd love to see your videos.
Thanks, Victoria.
That was pinkerific.
Thank you, Pinkalicious.
