To another day of vlogmas.
As you can tell by the title of today's vlog, it's going to be all about doing a cozy reset for the holiday season, specifically for just the month of December as a whole.
If you've been watching my channel for a while, then you will know that I love me a good reset.
It is one of my favorite videos to make, whether it be just filmed over a single day or spread out over a few days.
As I prepare for a new season or a new month, I just love writing out a big to-do list and kind of separating it by whether or not it's a chore, whether it's work or school related.
And then I also love to add just a section all dedicated to self-care, and put together that little Venn diagram and you get to meet an ideal reset.
And obviously, because this is part of Vlogmas, we are most definitely going to be continuing to get into the holiday spirit.
I always usually like to start my resets with cleaning.
It's just what I like to get out of the way first.
So that is kind of the plan for today.
And that's what I've blocked out the next few hours of my day for.
Other than like tidying up and the regular cleaning I like to do, I also specifically want to tidy my bathroom drawer, where I put all my makeup and skincare.
And then I also want to kind of clean and organize the drawers and my clothes in my room, like the closet and everything, because i recently moved my bed around.
So right now the drawers underneath my bed are like kind of disorganized, so i've just been meaning to like switch them out and reorganize the layout of those.
So i'll explain more when we get to that point, but for now i'm gonna make myself a matcha, put on some headphones and some christmas music and i'm gonna get to cleaning.
Merry Christmas, baby.
Reindeer's coming out to play.
Santa Claus is packing the presents, making sure you've been behaving OK.
Merry Christmas, honey.
Snowman's dusting off his hat, Putting on a show for everybody.
You give him a smile that lasts another year.
There's something that happens.
I am very quickly interrupting the cleaning montage for a quick word from today's sponsor, which is Raycon.
I've actually been wearing Raycon's open earbuds a lot around the house when I'm doing some housework or some cleaning or even out and about you know, going for a walk or even working out.
These have been a great option.
While regular earbuds usually tend to block out all the noise going on around you, these sit just outside of your ear canal, making them a lot safer.
That way, you know, you're more aware of your surroundings.
And I can definitely say this has come in handy because I always tend to wear headphones, you know, around the house doing some work or getting ready.
And a family member whether it be my mom sister, dad will be calling my name from another room and because, wearing headphones, i can't hear them, even though they're not that far away from me.
So luckily, with these, that is no longer an issue and i can still get really great sound quality.
Both the case and the headphones are super lightweight, easy to take on the go, and the headphones themselves are also really comfortable to wear.
It's super easy to put them on and they also stay on very well.
No matter what activity i'm doing, i could be shaking my head like this wow, i'm dizzy.
Now, as you can see, these are not going anywhere.
With the charging case, these also have a battery life of up to 36 hours, which is obviously super convenient because you can just throw these in your bag, take them on the go and you don't have to worry about charging them in between uses.
In case you haven't yet found all of your christmas gifts, raycon's open essential earbuds are here for the holidays.
Raycon audio products are actually up to 20 off this holiday season.
You can either scan the QR code that I'm going to put on screen right here or head over to the link in my description to shop Raycon's audio products site-wide.
Also make sure that you put your order in by December 15th to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas, because of course, great gifts shouldn't show up late.
A big thank you once again to Raycon for partnering with me on this video.
Let's get back to this cozy reset, all right, good morning everyone.
It is the next day.
Yesterday i ended up leaving the house a little bit early and i didn't get to finish doing my cleaning because i went to go see a double screening with my friend melina.
It was hosted by mooby and it was like a double screening of joshua connor films, so we watched la quimera and then the mastermind and it was honestly really nice to just have that evening together catch up, because i haven't seen her in ages.
I feel like that's been the case with a lot of my friends this semester.
We've just all been very busy, so it was really nice to go see those movies.
I also love La Chimera.
It's like one of my all-time favorite films, so I was so happy to go watch it again.
But we are continuing the reset today.
I'm gonna finish up cleaning my room.
It was like the only thing I had left was just to organize my drawers but, as you can see, right now I'm in a parking lot.
I had to drop my sister off at work this morning and I have a few errands I wanted to run, number one being that I have some film I want to get developed, so I was gonna go to the camera store to do that.
But then I got there And I was like it's awfully quiet.
No one's in the parking lot and they're supposed to open soon.
Turns out they open at 10, not at 9am like I thought.
So now I have an hour to kill, but that is honestly a good problem to have, because it gives me the opportunity to go look at some holiday decor.
Even if I don't end up getting anything, I think just looking at the decor that they have is part of the fun, because at the end of the day, I'm only decorating my room.
It's not like I have a whole apartment. to decorate and furnish.
So I'm really only gonna get a few knickknacks if anything stands out.
I'm gonna head inside now and run the rest of my errands that I had planned for this morning.
And maybe the next time I'll see you, I'll have a bit of a haul.
I am now officially back home from my errands and I'm gonna do a bit of a haul, even though I really didn't get much stuff.
To be completely honest, I was kind of underwhelmed at HomeSense.
I was expecting more.
I don't know if it's just the timing of like when I decided to go, but I feel like when I went home decor shopping back in the fall looking for autumn decor, there was more Christmas stuff out at that time than there is now, which might just mean that they're kind of resetting right now and, in between phases of like, adding more decor.
But I didn't end up getting anything there because there was just nothing that really caught my eye or stood out that much and I didn't want to buy something just for the sake of buying it.
I figured it would be nicer to just be more intentional about it and, if you know, I do find something over the month of December that I like I can just get it then and slowly build up my holiday decor collection after home sense.
I ended up going to indigo as well, because they always have good stuff over there and i always just think it's fun to browse at that store and look at what they have.
They also had a lot of discounts right now for books, but i had some self-control and didn't buy any, because i have this big plan of revamping the basement downstairs and turning it into like a reading kind of hobby corner where i can just have my library and put all my books on there.
So until i set that up i didn't want to, you know, buy anything.
But i did get two things, first one being this little christmas tree candle.
I feel like i'm going to be scared to light this, i just want to have it on display as a decoration.
But i thought it was cute and very simple and it was pretty cheap as well.
And then i also got this white christmas tea.
It's described as a white tea with vanilla and almond flavors, so maybe later we can do a little taste test and try this out.
And then my last stop.
I didn't actually film in there, but i went into a like hobby craft store and those stores are so fun to go visit and they had everything you would ever need for basically any hobby on earth.
They had yarn for knitting, coloring supplies paint, just you name it.
It was there.
So i think it would be really fun to go back there over break and kind of make a video all about like hobbies for the holidays because honestly, i got so inspired just from walking around that store.
I feel like i never do arts and crafts anymore because like, I don't really have time during the semester.
But it was fun to go in there.
And anyways, I did get just this small little set of Christmas trees because I thought I could put these on my shelf kind of in my room and they would be really small and just kind of blend in and I can make a tiny little Christmas tree village or a very small forest, i guess.
In terms of decorations i really only got these two things, but that is all right with me.
I'm gonna actually go put the sheets on my bed, because i put them in the laundry earlier this morning so they should be all done.
Now i can make my bed with fresh sheets and finish cleaning my room, because that's really the only thing i have left to tidy.
So hopefully I can get that done in like 30 minutes.
That is kind of the time limit I'm going to give myself, because for the rest of the day I really do have to catch up on work.
I still have one final I need to study for.
So I want to get a few hours in just revising for that.
And I guess we'll see what else I get up to.
Good morning, everyone.
As you can tell, it is the next day and I woke up this morning to the most beautiful snow falling out my window.
So already, I am in a great mood.
I also showered and I got to finally wash my hair.
It was getting kind of greasy, so I'm glad I got to wash it and blow dry it.
It always gives me like a confidence boost the day that I wash my hair.
To wrap up today's video.
I thought it would be nice to just sit down with my notebook, my ipad, and just kind of plan out the month of december and kind of write out some goals and intentions.
I honestly don't really do this as much anymore, but when i first started journaling i was very consistent at doing like a monthly check-in and writing all about my ins, my outs, the things i want to focus on for the next month, and i would kind of follow a few different prompts, and that was like always really helpful to reflect on the month that it just passed and then also set some goals and objectives for december.
I want to do that this morning.
I think it'll be a nice way to wrap up this reset because, after all, december is beginning tomorrow for me at the time of filming, and then i think i might also use this as an opportunity to do a little bit of scrolling on pinterest, because why not?
I like to gather inspiration at the beginning of each month.
It's research.
You know, i'm gonna go make myself a cup of the tea that i bought yesterday and i'm gonna get my planner, my notebook and my ipad and we can get to planning for the month of december.
That brings us to the end of today's cozy holiday reset.
I honestly love making these kinds of videos, so I hope that you enjoyed.
Hopefully this gave you some inspiration.
It's kind of wild to think about the fact that the next reset I will be doing will be in 2026.
I know for a fact it's gonna sneak up on me, but it feels so far away still.
I can't believe the year's almost over.
You are, of course, more than welcome to also use the prompts that I use for journaling and, if you do feel free, to comment down below your answers or like, what your intentions are for December.
My intentions personally are to be present, because I know it's gonna get hectic trying to vlog all the time, but I also still don't want that to take away from slowing down and enjoying the days that i'll have on winter break, because i know it'll fly by.
That being said, i hope you enjoyed this vlog.
Feel free to subscribe if you haven't already, because i'm going to be obviously posting a lot this month and, of course, if there's anything you want to see from me, you are always welcome to comment it down below, and i'm sending lots of virtual hugs.
