📋 Summary

Technological Advancements in Medicine and Aviation

China is making significant strides in blending advanced technology with traditional industries. A notable development is the establishment of the country’s first medicine research institute powered by quantum computing and data, a joint venture between Bangbo Medical University and Origin Quantum. This institute focuses on the real-machine verification of quantum medical algorithms. Their collaborative efforts have already yielded results, such as improving the efficiency of breast molybdenum-target detection and accelerating small molecule drug development using the Origin Wukong superconducting quantum computer, which has processed nearly 300,000 tasks globally since its launch.

In the aerospace sector, China’s aviation industry has successfully conducted the maiden flight of a modified AG-50, a new-generation light sport aircraft. Chief designer Liu Chong highlighted that the modifications, driven by market feedback, include a significantly increased flight range—extending from 650 km to 1,200 km—and optimized empennage and rudder systems. This aircraft is now entering the Airworthiness Validation Flight Test Phase, promising to support diverse roles from agricultural operations to private flight training.

Tourism Growth and International Engagement

Cambodia’s tourism sector is experiencing a robust recovery, bolstered by a 52.5% increase in Chinese visitors during the first ten months of the year. Tourism Minister Hote Haak emphasized that this growth is a key opportunity for investment and economic development. Furthermore, the global appeal of China’s cultural and sporting events continues to grow, evidenced by Formula One’s five-year extension for the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit. With a fan base now exceeding 150 million in China, the circuit remains a premier destination for motorsport, hosting both F1 sprint events and the F1 Academy.

Archaeological Discoveries and Cultural Preservation

Conservation efforts remain a priority, as seen in the arrival of 16 Japan-born crested ibises at the Beijing Zoo, marking a successful chapter in the international cooperation to protect this species, which was once on the brink of extinction. In the realm of archaeology, researchers have unearthed rare scale armour from the tomb of the Marquess of Haihun. This discovery is particularly significant as it features a composite construction of lacquered iron, copper, and leather. Experts noted that the minute size of these armour plates—some just 1 cm wide—reflects a sophisticated level of craftsmanship previously unseen in Han Dynasty excavations.

The Philosophy of Harmony in Traditional Music

Beyond technology and history, the broadcast explored the deep-seated Chinese philosophy of harmony. Traditional Chinese music utilizes five fundamental notes—Gong, Shang, Jue, Zhi, and Yu—which correspond to nature’s elements and internal human organs. This ancient form of music therapy aims to balance the yin and yang energy within the body. By avoiding sharp semitones and focusing on serene melodies, Chinese classical music, such as the famous Gaoshan, Liu Shui (High Mountains and Flowing Water), serves as a medium to alleviate stress, promote well-being, and maintain a profound connection between the soul and the natural world.

Here is the news. China has set up the country's first medicine research institute, powered by quantum computing and data.
In East China's Anhui province, jointly established by Bangbo Medical University and Origin quantum computing technology Hefei company, the Institute is dedicated to applying quantum computing power in the medical field and commercialising its research achievements.
The new Institute will conduct real machine verification of quantum medical algorithms, promote deep cooperation between quantum computing and medical research, and advance the training of data medicine professionals so as to empower China's medical data security, and applications.
Last year, the Bang Bu Medical University, and Origin Quantum released China s first achievement in applying domestically developed superconducting quantum computers in medical research, helping to improve the efficiency policy of breast molybdenum -target detection.
