It's going to be a November to remember.
But for now, let's get on with the show.
Woo!
Oh, hey Mindy.
Why are you all cooped up in your cabin?
I thought we were here at camp to enjoy the beauty of nature.
Well, that's kind of what I'm doing.
I'm looking at readings from weather satellites.
Oh, weather satellites.
You mean those big things in outer space that go around and around the Earth and tell you if a storm's coming.
Right, and they can give you information on more than just storms.
Weather satellites can track things like glacier movements wildfires, volcanic ash, even sea turtle migrations.
Oh, that's so wow.
So what kind of satellite images are you looking at?
Well, I just wanted to see if we were going to have good weather for the kickball game later, but the satellite I follow doesn't seem to be working.
It's not giving me any images at all.
Hmm, so this weather satellite up there is it big, made of metal, with a big solar power thingy sticking out of it.
Yeah.
Okay, so it's not so much in space anymore as it is on the ground outside of your cabin.
Wait, what?
The weather satellite is on the ground outside of my cabin?
Yeah, so I was really excited for the kickball game we're having later.
And as I was practicing my big home run guaranteed kicks, I might have kicked the ball so far that it crashed into the satellite.
You kicked a kickball over 22,000 miles into the air and knocked a satellite down from outer space?
Maybe.
Maybe.
Yeah?
Oopsie.
Well, when it's time for the kickball game, I want to be on your team.
Ahem.
Camp Wee Wow is an awesome place.
Physics, biology, and outer space.
Science explorers with our headquarters.
No, Den.
Here at camp we wow.
Okay, that's enough.
Hey, G4s.
All right, follow us.
Welcome to Camp WeWow, the invisible summer camp for science explorers everywhere.
I'm Guy Raz.
And I haven't showered in a week.
What?
I mean, I'm Mindy.
This week is Weather Week, inspired by our Wow in the World episode, The Curious Case of the Everlasting Storm.
And today, we are going to be making a rainbow light show in the science gazebo.
But first, here's Dennis with today's camp announcements.
Attention camp wee-wow.
After much deliberation and an outrageous quote from my contractor for fixing my leaky roof, I have decided to spend some time out of doors.
Yes, I am extremely brave, heroic even.
I have covered myself in sunscreen and bug spray, donned my wide-brimmed hat and put on some water wings, just in case.
Okay, here I go.
Ugh, it's so bright.
And what's that smell?
Fresh air?
Ugh, it's far too fresh.
And everything is covered in dirt.
This is too rugged.
I'm going back inside.
Dennis, out.
No, wait.
Dennis, in.
Definitely in.
Oh, thanks, Dennis.
You tried.
Campers, it's time to head to the science gazebo.
While we're walking over, please listen carefully, as our camp mascot, the Wow Cow, has an interesting weather fact for you.
Boo!
Hey there, fellow Wee Wow campers.
It's your favorite mascot, the Wow Cow.
Did you know that a heat wave can cause train tracks to bend?
And there's more where that came from.
Camp Wee Wow...
We'll be right back.
Grownups, this message is for Moo.
Hey, grownups.
It's Mindy and Guy Raz here from Wow in the World.
Mindy and I have some brand new Wow in the World toys out in the world just in time for the holidays.

That's Tinkercastcom.
Slash toys are in the science gazebo for something that we like to call Rainbow Light Show.
All you need for this is a glass of water and a small mirror that a grown-up says is okay to get wet.
First, put the mirror in the glass so that it's mirror-side up.
Then, slowly tilt it around and try to catch a sunbeam.
You'll know it's working when you can see a rainbow on the wall.
Ooh!
Ah!
Ooh!
That's it.
Wow, so why do rainbows even happen in the first place?
Well, when white light hits water droplets, the light actually bends and splits off into colored light.
So when the sun comes out while it's still raining, you get a rainbow.
Hmm, water droplets, huh?
Be right back.
Uh, okay. hose.
Sorry, Guy Raz.
I just wanted to test out making rainbows another way.
Go ahead.
Just point it away from me this time.
Say it with me, Guy Raz.
Ooh.
Ah.
Pretty colors.
Attention campers.
It's Thomas Fingerling here at Man, you kids keep losing a lot of stuff.
From now on, strap your belongings to yourself with duct tape.
That's what I do.
Here we go.
Now, here are the new items at the Lost and Found.
Hey, Tommy, have you seen my... Hold your horses there, fella.
I'm broadcasting the Lost and Found items.
We have butter pecan ice cream, muffin, crunch, breakfast cereal.
Mr. Fingerling, those are very clearly your groceries.
Oh, yeah.
I suppose they are.
Listen, I just need my... Moving on to the non-food items.
We've got a canoe paddle, an old glow stick, a snorkel.
Snorkel.
Now, there's a funny word.
Hey, you there, fella.
Isn't snorkel a funny-sounding word?
Yes, super funny.
Tommy, please.
Listen, I'm missing my... Oh, looky here.
A pair of undergarments.
Shh.
I wonder who lost these.
There's something written on the waistband here.
No, don't read it on the loudspeaker.
Property of Dennis.
Who's Dennis?
I'm Dennis.
These are your delicates?
Yes.
You telling me you're walking around without any undertrunks?
Just give me those.
I'm out of here.
Whoa.
Looks like that's it for the lost and found.
Now it's time to make my butter pecan ice cream sundae, with bran muffin, crunch cereal mixed in and a prune on top.
Oh boy, I can't wait.
Fingerling over and out.
That's it Campers, we had so much fun making a rainbow light show for you two different ways.
Here's a recap.
To make a rainbow, you'll need a glass of water and a small mirror that a grown-up says is okay to get wet.
Just put the mirror in the glass of water and move it around until a rainbow appears on the wall.
And to make a Mindy-approved rainbow, just go outside with a grown-up and get a garden hose, a sprinkler or a spray bottle and then spray spray spray spray spray, spray spray and see if a rainbow shows up in the droplets.
It's best to do this on a sunny day.
Don't forget to send us a picture or video of your rain cloud.
Grown-ups, you can share those pictures and videos with us at Tinkercast.com.
Until then, who wows?
We wow!
