But for now, let's get on with the show.
Woo!
Mindy, I brought a list of today's activities just like you asked.
Oh, thanks, Guy Raz.
I'll just take these activities and throw them in the ocean.
Wait, what?
Why?
Well, I realize that we have a lot of campers in there.
In the ocean?
Yep.
There are about 35 trillion fish in the ocean, not to mention the lobsters, the whales, the microorganisms.
Oh, wow.
Wow, so there are even more campers in the ocean than there are on land?
You know it.
And I really want them to feel included.
So let's take a look at this itinerary here.
Um, archery, hiking, paper crafts.
Guy Raz, you can't do any of this in the water.
Ugh, so we need to come up with some new activities?
Yeah, uh, how about swimming?
Yeah, and water polo.
Water frisbee.
Water ghost stories.
What? and bracelets.
Drinking water.
Ahem.
Camp WeWow is an awesome place.
Physics, biology, and outer space.
Science explorers with our headquarters.
Oh, Dennis.
Here at Camp WeWow.
Okay, that's enough.
Hey, G4s.
Hey, Larry, follow me.
Welcome to another day at Camp WeWow, the invisible summer camp for science explorers everywhere.
I'm your camp counselor, Mindy.
And I'm your camp counselor, Guy Raz.
It's Under the Sea Week here, inspired by our own Wow in the World episode Underwater Nitpicking Cleaner Shrimp and Why Big Fish Won't Eat Them.
If you missed it, you can still listen to Monday's episode for an encore.
Today, we are going to be making tiny oceans in jars.
But first, here's Dennis with some camp announcements.
Attention, campers.
Let's see.
Not too many announcements today.
First, the camp store will be closed while Reggie takes inventory.
The maintenance crew will be mowing lawns this afternoon.
And what else?
Oh, everyone at camp has lice.
What?
I have lice.
You have lice.
Everyone has lice.
Oh, no.
However, it's still hat swap day, so everyone wear a hat and trade it with someone else.
Dennis!
And this evening's hair braiding party and head massage jamboree is still on schedule, so don't miss out.
Thank you.
That is all.
Uh, campers, please don't share hats or do any of those other things if you have lice.
Uh, how did everybody get lice anyway?
Ahem.
Has anybody seen my pet lies?
No.
Oh, hush puppies.
Okay, well, we are going to get everyone nitpicked again.
And in the meantime, our camp mascot, the Wow Cow, has a special message for your grownups back home.

Welcome back, campers.
It's time for today's oceanic activity, Ocean in a Jar.
Ooh, I can't wait.
I love putting things in jars.
Marbles, pencils.
Look, I even put my lunch in a jar.
Ooh, that jar is perfect.
Thanks, Guy Raz.
Wait, hang on.
Just got to get all of this grain stuff out of here.
Ugh.
My salad.
Now, we're just going to fill this jar a little more than halfway with water.
Oh, man.
I didn't bring any water.
Oh, well.
But it looks like you did, Guy Raz.
Mindy, I was going to drink this.
Oh, thanks, buddy.
This is a real help.
You're just going to pour the water in this jar here.
Now, you can actually use some food coloring to make your ocean blue, but...
I forgot to bring some, so... Well, at least I still have my blue bug juice to drink.
Oh, that's perfect.
Thanks, buddy.
Mindy, I was going to drink that.
And finally, we need cooking oil.
Uh, Guy Ross, any chance you brought some cooking oil?
You can have my salad dressing.
Oh, thanks.
Pop on the jar's lid.
And now...
We're going to shake shake shake shake, shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it up.
There we go.
And ta-da!
An ocean in a jar.
Whoa.
Just look at all those bubbles.
That is pretty wow.
That activity made me hungry.
You want to grab some lunch, Guy Raz?
Well, I did have a salad, but you dumped it all over the floor. fingerling at the lost and found.
Boy, we got a lot of what's-its and honky-tonks today.
There's a tube sock.
That stinks.
Let's see here.
A toboggan?
Moving the world wide web brought a sled to summer camp.
Okay, moving on.
We got some kind of platform with wheels that says hoverboard.
Oh, sweet.
I might need to do me some hovering.
Well, come get your lost doodads, campers.
Fingerling out.
Okay, how do you make this hoverboard go?
Well, that's it for today, campers.
But before we go, here's a refresher on how to make an ocean in a jar.
First, you'll need a jar with a lid. some water, some vegetable oil, and blue food coloring.
Fill the jar up a little more than halfway with water and add a drop or two of blue food coloring.
And then fill it almost the rest of the way with oil.
Then you're going to screw on the lid and give it a gentle shake.
You should see bubbles forming.
Rock it side to side and make some waves.
And for even more fun, you can add glitter or small seashells or a toy shark.
Or a real shark.
Although, I guess you would have to find a really big jar and a really friendly shark.
Okay, well, don't forget to send us a photo or video of your ocean in a jar.
Grown-ups, you can share those pictures and videos with us.
We're also asking you to share a 30-second sea story with us this week.
Call us at 1-888-7WOW-WOW.
We'll be sharing some of your stories around the campfire this Friday.
And we'll see you tomorrow for another great day at Camp WeWOW.
Who wows?
