It's going to be a November to remember.
But for now, let's get on with the show.
Woo left right.
Right right hike hike, hike up up up down, down down hike hike.
Left right hike hike hike.
We've been hiking for the last three hours, Mindy.
Do you think we want to take a break soon?
Nope.
Feeling good, Guy Raz.
You feeling good?
Well, I guess.
Let me just check the schedule for the Getting off track?
Huh, the only thing on schedule today is a hike, and I think you made a typo Mindy, because it says here we're going on a 50-mile hike.
That's because we're going on a 50-mile hike, Airaz.
We're what?
Well, it's for our shark walk.
You know, sharks can travel 50 miles a day, and they often don't take time for stops, so...
Why should we?
Mindy, I love a good hike, but 50 miles is the length of almost two marathons.
I know.
And why do one marathon when you can do two marathons?
Am I right?
Oh, would you look at that?
A thunderstorm.
You know, I wish we could walk those two marathons, but it's raining now, so I guess we have to turn back.
Come on, Guy Raz.
It's just a little sprinkle.
A little rain won't hurt us.
But lightning can.
I prefer to think that lightning is just the sky's way of saying hello, giving us a little extra light to guide us through the dark.
Oh, because when I see lightning, I think that's nature's way of saying, get inside now.
Ah, potato, tomato, Guy Raz-y.
On second thought, maybe we should head back inside now.
You think?
Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent Trent.
Welcome, campers.
It's Shark Week here at Camp Wee Wow.
And this week's Sharktivities are all inspired by our Wow in the World episode, Scaredy Sharks and the Science of Fear.
Due to the rain, our 50-mile hike has been postponed.
So on our to-do list today is a rainy day indoor game.
And we're playing Two What's and a Wow.
But before we begin, Dennis would like to share a list of complaints?
Okay, uh, Dennis?
Dennis?
Thank you, Mindy.
I have some complaints.
Oh yeah, I forgot.
We're calling them improvements.
Thank you, Reggie.
Complaint, I mean improvement number one.
The mess hall is all wrong.
Hard benches, pine board picnic tables.
Where are the tablecloths?
Where are the padded chairs?
And what's with the name mess hall?
That's a horrible, messy name.
I say we rebrand it to the dining hall.
Also, what about a harpsichord for gentle musical ambiance?
Reggie, harpsichords are lovely and will go nicely with the new chandeliers.
Improvement request number two.
The bunk beds are way too tall.
When I fall out of the top bunk, it hurts.
And the mattresses are so hard.
What are they made out of?
Rocks?
What?
They are rocks.
Reggie? replace the foam in my mattress with rocks as a camp prank?
Improvement request number three.
No more camp pranks.
And Dennis gets new Reggie-proof locks for his cabin.
It's not funny.
Dennis out.
Thank you, Dennis, for sharing those somewhat constructive comments.
It's time to head over to the game room so we can play a little round of two what's and a wow, but this time with a special twist.
And while we're walking over, our camp Wee Wow mascot has something he'd like to share with you.
Hello, fellow Wee Wow campers.
It's your favorite mascot, the Wow Cow here.
Did you know that the excessive and persistent fear of sharks is called galophobia?
I wonder what you'd call a fear of cows or a fear of mascots.
Anyways, Can't Be Wow will be right back.
Grownups, this message is for Moo.
Hey, grownups.
It's Mindy and Guy Raz here from Wow in the World.

Now back to camp.
Welcome back, campers.
As you know, it's Shark Week here at Camp Wee Wow.
And today, we're playing a round of two what's and a cow.
Did you just say cow, Guy Raz?
I sure did Mindy, because the answer for today's round will be delivered by our very own mascot, the Wow Cow.
Howdy, campers.
Moo!
Campers, we're going to give you three scientific statements about sharks.
And only one of those statements will be a true wow.
The other two, just a couple of made-up what's.
Are you ready?
Okay.
Which of the following statements about sharks is the true wow?
Is it A, the oldest shark fossil traces back to 200 million years ago?
Or is it...
You can tell how old a shark is based on the number of gills it has.
Or is it C, shark's skin feels a lot like sandpaper?
OK, Wow Cow, it's time to reveal the winning wow.
And the correct answer is C, shark's skin feels a lot like sandpaper.
Moo!
Winner, winner, sandpaper for dinner!
That is correct, Wow Cow.
Shark skin feels like sandpaper because of the tiny teeth-like scales on their skin.
Now, if you guessed A, you were pretty close.
The oldest shark fossil is actually 400 million years old, but it doesn't look a day over 200 million years old.
And if you guessed B?
While the gills of a shark can't reveal its age, it turns out that you may be able to tell a shark's age by looking at its vertebrae or the bones that make up the shark's back.
The shark's vertebrae are made up of pairs of bands, and the number of bands on a shark could give you an idea of how old it is kind of like counting the rings in a tree trunk.
Huh.
Well, Mindy, all of our winning Wowzers will be taking home their very own Wow Cow headshot?
Thank you, thank you.
I'll also be signing autographs and having photo-ups.
That's autographs for $5 and photos for $50.
Wow Cow?
More like a cash cow if you ask me.
Ooh!
Anyhoo, joining us campers.
We had such a fun time with you playing two what's in a cow today, but the fun doesn't have to stop here, campers.
We want you to do your own research about sharks, learn everything you can and come up with your very own round of two.
What's in a wow?
First find a fact about sharks that wows your world, Then make up two completely.
What statements about sharks?
Tell your friends and family to see if they can find the true wow.
And don't forget, we're still waiting for you to share how you overcame one of your fears.
Don't forget to give us a call at our Camp WeWow hotline, 1-888-7-WOW-WOW.
Your story could be featured during tomorrow's Campfire Story Circle.
