Woo!
Reggie, now this is a G. You know, I'm going to be honest, Mindy.
I don't know if Reggie can do this.
You kind of need opposable thumbs to play the piano.
No, you kind of need opposable thumbs to play the piano, Guy Raz.
Reggie's got this.
I promise you.
Just give him a chance.
OK.
Reggie, why don't you give it a try?
I've heard that song before, but I think I kind of like it, Reg.
Well, it's supposed to be the song Chopsticks.
You know the one that goes Oh well, in that case, let me just grab something to help Reggie out.
I know it's in my camp counselor fanny pack here somewhere.
Band-Aids, bug spray, bugs.
Nope.
Oh, here it is.
Reggie.
Try these chopsticks to play chopsticks.
Mindy, that's just the name of the song.
I'm not sure Reggie will be able to play a piano with chopsticks.
Mindy, is it just me or is Reggie playing chopsticks perfectly?
I told you, Guy Raz.
He's got this.
You're a natural.
Physics, biology, and outer space.
Science explorers with our headquarters.
Oh, Dennis.
Here at camp we wow.
Okay, that's enough.
It's Music Week, inspired by our very own Wow in the World episode.
Drop the Beat and Cut the Cheese.
On today's camp itinerary, we are going to be composing our very own song.
But first, Dennis would like to share the cast list for the summer musical.
Oh, Dennis!
Ahem!
Attention campers!
Thank you to everyone who auditioned for Camp WeWow's production of Dennis the Musical.
The deliberations were very difficult and emotional for me.
The agony, the torment, the drama.
Anyway, the cast is as follows.
The part of Dennis will be played by me, obviously.
The part of Mindy will be played by also me, Dennis.
Reggie will be played by me.
And Guy Raz will be played by none other than Reggie.
What?
Thank you so much to all who auditioned.
We look forward to wowing you on Friday.
And by we, I mean me.
Okay, bye.
Wait, why does Reggie get to play me?
I thought my audition went really well.
That's showbiz, kid.
Huh.
I guess.
All right, campers.
Let's head to the camp theater so we can get our music on.
And while we're walking over, the Wow Cow is going to send a special message for the grown-ups at home.

Now back to camp.
WeeWOW campers, welcome to the camp-a-theater.
As you know, it's music week.
And what better way to learn about music... and writing it.
Today, we'll be working on writing song lyrics.
Song lyrics are the words sung to music.
And the first step to writing song lyrics of our own is to find some inspiration.
And where should we look for some inspiration today, Mindy?
Glad you asked, Guy Raz.
Today, we will be finding our lyrical inspiration from the dumpster outside the mess hall.
Wheel it in, Reg.
What?
As the old saying goes, one person's trash is another person's hit single.
Mindy, that's not how the saying goes.
So I'm going to fish something out from this big old pile of garbage here and we'll write a song about the first thing I find.
Okay.
Let's see what we've got here.
An orange peel.
Perfect.
All right, already got a lyric idea.
Okay, let's hear it.
Orange peel are like the clothes that your oranges wear.
Okay, i guess that's true, but you know, i was thinking we could write a song all about how great orange peels are for your composting bins, because as they break down, they'll add phosphorus and nitrogen and potassium to your compost.
Hey, this is some great stuff mindy, are you writing this down?
Uh, I like where you're headed, Guy Raz, but I don't think I've ever heard a hit song about composting on the radio.
Oh, sure you have.
There's me, my micronutrients, and I, and then there was that other one, uh, worm is the word.
Okay.
So instead of trying to come up with a topic, why don't we start off by looking for some rhymes?
Lyrics have lots of rhyming words in them.
Uh, what rhymes with orange peel?
Well, I'm not sure anything rhymes with orange.
Oh, you're right.
Let's see what else you've got in that pile of garbage over there.
Well, let's see here.
I've got some onion skins.
Ooh, that could be a love song.
Egg shells.
Ooh, I got it.
I'm walking on egg shells.
Whoa.
I'm walking on egg shells.
Whoa.
That's great, Mindy.
I think we're onto something.
If you're a tough cow like me, chewing cud working on the farm, your gut doesn't have time to digest the complex proteins in dairy.
Introducing Camp WeWOW's official non-dairy ice cream monster truck.
This ice cream monster truck is built tough, just like you.
It can outlast storms, heavy loads, mountainous rains.
It can take on almost anything except for an ounce of dairy.
As the official spokesperson for the non-dairy ice cream monster truck and also a recently diagnosed lactose intolerant cow, this non-dairy ice cream gets two hooves up for me.
Check out my new flavor, the Wow Cow Sorbet. at the non-dairy ice cream monster truck near you.
Tell them the Wow Cow sent ya.
Boo!
Wow Cow.
Campers, we had so much fun writing songs with you today.
And now we want to challenge you to write a song of your own back in your cabins.
While our song in true Camp Wee Wow fashion did not go according to plan, We think that you camper should give it a go on your own.
Go outside and find some song inspiration in nature.
Maybe you want to write a pop song about sunshine, a ballad about a tree or a rap about your backyard squirrel.
And get creative, campers.
And grown-ups.
You can send us photos and videos of your wowser songs to us at tinkercastcom.
Slash share.
And don't forget to share with us your favorite non-instrument that you like to play.
Is there something you've always thought should be an instrument but isn't one?
Call us at 1-888-7WOW-WOW with your favorite non-musical instrument. and maybe even play it for us.
