Now this movie is about a teenage boy Ferris, who is a senior in high school and who pretends to be sick so he can miss the school day.
He skips the school day.
But then what makes it fun is the fact that there is the principal of the school, Mr Rooney, who is very cartoon-like, I would say.
He looks like a cartoon.
He's so funny, so intense.
His facial expressions are really out of this world.
And every time he is on screen I believe he steals the show, because it's funny to see him getting into trouble after trouble in his pursuit of Ferris.
But Ferris also has a girlfriend.
I believe her name is Sloane.
And his best friend, Cameron.
But what is compelling about this movie is how Ferris helps Cameron by the end of it.
Because Ferris has always been very confident as a young person.
But his friend Cameron has always been the opposite.
Kind of neurotic, paranoid, insecure.
But by the end of the movie, after experiencing many crazy things on a day off in the city, Cameron has an epiphany, a revelation, and I'm sure that he's never going to be the same after that day.
So seeing How Ferris helped his best friend by the end of the movie makes it a truly compelling story that goes beyond just a comedy about teenagers in the 80s, you know, and especially the end of the movie, the dialogue.
Let's say more.
The monologue that Cameron gives more towards the end of the movie is also thought-provoking, I would say, because it really makes you think about existential questions in life and what it means to be a young person coming to the world and growing up as an adult.

But in my last weekly review, because every Sunday the app asks you to do a reflection, a review on something the previous week, you know.

So it's giving me here more inversion practice because i asked for it.
Okay, so it looks like this pretty much yeah um, i'm not gonna do this now because you know it's just for me to practice some more, but then every day you end with a takeaway, which is the reflection.

I really enjoyed talking about movies.

I got to listen to a review about The Godfather, which is another one of my favorites.
And I learned some interesting vocabulary.
I saw...
Words like compelling, thought-provoking, cliched.
And I even learned an expression today, which was to push the envelope.
So when something pushes the envelope, it exceeds the limits or it challenges the limits.
I really enjoy that expression, to push the envelope.
So I think that's my takeaway today.
You know, it was a great topic, great conversation that I had today with the AI coach.
And I learned some useful vocabulary today.
You see, so I record my voice memo with my reflection.
You see the learner being reflective again.
What did I learn today?
Again, you can listen to it or you can just submit it.
And remember, the cool thing is that what I'm inserting here, the app will remember.
So what I just shared as my takeaway, I'm sure that it will be brought back by the app at some point, maybe tomorrow, next week, you know because every interaction you have with the app, it learns more about you as an English speaker, as an English learner.
So the more you use the app, the more personalized the experience becomes.
