Hey, Michelle, how's it going today?
How are you feeling?
Hey, Lindsay, I'm good.
I'm good.
How are you?
I am excited, actually.
I'm so excited, too.
Guys, today's episode is 100% dedicated to some very special listeners, Michelle.
Who are they?
Who are we dedicating today's episode to?
We are dedicating this episode to our beta testers for the Android app.
Guys, our Android app is live.
I just got it.
I am very excited about it.
So we really... had help from amazing amazing listeners who took the time to make sure that we were able to you know search out for any bugs right and do you know do a lot with testing the app right lindsay Yeah.
I mean, whenever we build something big, we love to work with you guys.
When we redesigned our website, we worked with you as well.
But these guys were just awesome.
And that's why I want to call out your names make sure that the audience knows who you guys are and that you played a pivotal role in helping us get this app ready for go time for show time.
So here are a couple names.
We'll throw out a few of them.
A huge, huge thank you to Oleg.
Now, Oleg was back and forth with me on email.
He sent me videos, sent me screenshots about how to fix the bugs that he found.
I've never seen such a thorough beta tester.
So shout out to Oleg.
Yeah.
And Oleg also asked some great questions, as does CL, who was another beta tester continuing to help me out with this stuff, with the app.
And thank you to Marcin.
And who else, Michelle?
Who else was a pivotal, important role in this Android development?
Thank you.
Yeah.
Thank you to Ryong Hwan Kiel.
I hope I pronounced that correctly.
I'm sorry if I didn't.
And also Alex and Pablo.
Yeah, you guys are awesome.
So good.
So good.
So Michelle, what is this app all about?
And why should our listeners go and get it?
I mean, why should they listen inside the app?
Oh my gosh.
Well, this app is amazing.
Guys, you can listen to all of our episodes and you can also get transcripts to follow along with the app.
So it actually, I've seen it.
It looks so cool.
You're just kind of listening and you get to see what we're saying in real time.
So that is one of the amazing things about this app.
Yeah, that's so cool.
I mean it's so much better than just having to have the paper of the transcript or having to have it on your computer just to have it right there.
You're on the train.
You can see the transcript as you are listening.
That is so valuable.
And then the other thing I love about it is the personal power list.
What is the personal power list, Michelle?
Yeah well, basically I go through every week and I go through the transcripts and I think what are the words that our listeners need to know right?
So I'm picking the most important ones for everyday life, the ones that are going to be very useful.
So I go through and I pick usually like five to seven words or something like that.
And then you are able to have them all in one place.
So I tend to like lose papers and things like that.
And now it's just easy because you could just keep this list right on your app.
You got it.
Exactly, Michelle.
Let's simplify our lives, right?
That's what we're trying to do for you guys with this app.
To simplify, to give you one single place where you can keep all of your words that you are trying to use in conversations, right?
You get to see a definition of the word from the episode.
You get to see a sample sentence.
So Michelle, before we go into the next piece of what our listeners should do now, I want to announce a few more names.
Are you ready?
Let's do it.
Okay.
Big thank you to our remaining beta testers, Franco, Andres, Kana, Alberto, and who else, Michelle?
Anyone else there on the list?
Thank you.
Yes.
Thank you to Tibor, Raisa, and Jaderson.
Yes, you guys were awesome.
So dedicated in your testing and so incredibly helpful.
It really is cool to build something, like I said, as a community, build it together.
Yeah.
Right, right, right.
Exactly.
And it's not easy to build an app.
So we really needed you guys.
And we're so appreciative to have such helpful and dedicated listeners.
Yeah, building an app is hard, especially an Android app, actually.
I did not realize that Android would be so much, to be honest, so much more complicated than iOS.
And I think, a lot of our listeners, especially maybe our beta testers some of them might be actually software developers that they know that Android is a more complicated environment than iOS because there are many more devices that use Android, many more variations.
There's just a few devices that use iOS, right?
It's really just the Apple phone and then a few versions of the software iPad, but Android man.
The list goes on and on.
So we really did hit some challenges that I didn't expect around Android development, but we learn something new every time we take on one of these projects, Michelle.
Definitely.
Oh, that's awesome.
Learning is good.
So do we want to thank some more beta testers?
Definitely.
So big thank you to Joanna, Edgardo, Natalia, and everyone else.
If I didn't say your name, just know that if you were a beta tester, we so appreciate you.
We recognize you.
And we couldn't have done this without you.
Right, Michelle?
Yeah, really, really thank you.
It means so much to us.
And yeah, we're excited about this app.
This is going to be great.
So Lindsay, what should our listeners do now?
Okay, guys, we have some instructions for you what to do next.
First of all, go and try out the app.
So I'm going to give you the link, and this link will lead you to choose the iOS or the Android app, so anyone can get to the app.
Through this link, go to allearsenglish.com forward slash app, A-P-P, okay?
That is your first step.
And then what is the next step, Michelle?
We need your ratings and we need your reviews, guys.
So rate and review the All Ears English app.
This is super important.
You guys are super fans.
Anyone who's going to get this app.
We really really could use the ratings and the reviews to let us know what you think about this app.
Exactly.
Let's give this Android app a really good firm start out in the Google Play Store.
Let's let the world know what All Ears English is all about, how All Ears English helps you and what you think of the app.
So rate and review the app.
And then what is the last thing that our listeners should do?
Number three, the third step.
The third step, three and three, three.
Step three, share with three people who also believe in connection, not perfection.
Let them know about this app because it will really help them, right, with their English learning.
So think of those three awesome people and tell them about it.
Exactly.
And then Alex asked me yesterday by email, one of our beta testers, how can I share it?
What can I do?
Well, the best way to do that is just to text the link or email the link or share it on social media.
So the link to share is just allearsenglish.com forward slash app.
Again, your friends will be able to just choose whether they want to download the iOS version or the Android version if they go to that link.
So that's the best way to share the app.
Okay.
Fantastic.
Awesome.
Michelle, I'm so excited.
It is finally live.
We've been talking about it for what?
Three years years, a long time.
Yeah, i'm excited too.
As an android user, i'm happy to have absolutely.
So guys go follow the three steps and, most importantly, rate and review the app.
Let the world know about all ears english.
Very cool okay, michelle.
Well, thanks for hanging out and uh, we hope to.
Uh, you can come back and let us know what you think of the app now that you are over there.
All right, Lindsay.
Thanks.
Thanks again, guys.
All right.
Take care.
