As you can tell from the title of this video, I'm going to be adopting two cats.
It's honestly so crazy to say.
As I'm sure you guys know, I was watching my family's cat Theodore for the longest time.
He would be at my apartment for like months at a time and I got so attached.
Like I love that cat so much and I tried for so long to convince my family to do like a co-parenting situation where he could be at my house for a while and then go back home and switch off.
But since I just can't keep him permanently, I decided I need my own cat.
Like this is what I'm missing in my life.
I feel like there is no other bond compared to a girl and her first cat.
So I found the cutest kitten to adopt um, but then she had a sister and I could not separate them.
They are the cutest ever.
I am so in love.
I love the idea of having two girl cats that are sisters that are together for life.
I am so obsessed.
So Theodore will be visiting, but I am getting my own cats and I am bringing them home tomorrow.
Like.
This is the start of a new chapter, but I have so much to do in this video, from the prep and the shopping to actually bringing them home tomorrow.
This is gonna be such a crazy video, but this is gonna be so cute to look back on.
So I'm so excited to finally introduce you guys to them.
And I have a lot to do.
I'm low key kind of stressed because this is a lot.
So right now I'm picking up my siblings and we are gonna go shopping for all of the essentials.
I have literally nothing prepared for this new chapter.
I need to get literally everything like a litter box food, a water dish, a food dish toys, a scratcher.
I need to get everything crazy to be talking about this, because it's actually happening, but i'm so excited.
My siblings are the perfect people to go shopping for this stuff with, because they love cats just as much as i do, so we are gonna pick out the cutest things.
Wow, so crazy.
Today is the day that I'm bringing these two cats home.
I am so excited.
I honestly just can't believe it, but I wanted to give you guys a haul of everything that I bought before their arrival.
I actually found some really cute things at the store yesterday.
There's a little bit of a theme going here, so let me know if you pick it up.
To start off, I found the cutest bed for them.
Are you kidding?
It's this little milk carton.
This is so adorable.
I really hope they sleep in it.
I think this is the cutest cat bed I've ever seen.
I want a bed like this.
Like I want to sleep in here.
I bought this litter box, especially for kittens.
And then I got the matching scoop.
Of course it had to be pink, you guys.
I also have two food containers.
Look at the color.
It's so cute.
And they're little cats.
If you haven't guessed by now, everything is pink.
I also found this bowl, which I think is so, so cute.
And then this little pink ball.
I need to get more toys.
But I also have these toys.
I bought these like two years ago.
The plan was whenever I got my cat, I would have some toys ready.
I just thought these were the cutest things ever.
They're little sushis.
They're so cute.
So this is like a crazy moment because this was a pre-purchase like two years ago.
And now I finally get to bring them out.
Next, for food.
I wanted to buy all of the food that they've been eating already, just because I already know today is a big day for them.
And I want something familiar.
So I bought all of the canned food that they already have been eating, and then the dry food that they recommended.
So I got a bunch of this brand and then I bought two of these and it's feeling very real now.
Like this is crazy.
And then I also wanted to get these can covers.
Kittens actually eat a lot.
I have to feed them four times a day, which is crazy.
I never knew.
I never knew that if I'm being honest.
And then I found these little baby treats.
I also got this.
I just saw this on TikTok, but this is like the coolest thing ever.
So look how cute it is.
I have the hardest time opening cans because of my nails.
So this allows me to open it and scoop everything out.
And it's so cute.
I got this little spoon, which has a paw at the end.
Not sure what this is, but it also came with it.
Here is their dry food.
And then this is their litter.
I had to get like specific non-clumping litter, but I'm gonna go pick them up.
I am so excited.
These are gonna be the most girly, cute cats ever.
This is the last time I will be in my house without these cats.
I'm so excited.
So let's go pick them up.
So their first night home went super well.
They were super curious, but obviously also hiding a lot, since this was a long day and a lot to take in.
So i gave them their time and space so they could like, explore and go at their own pace.
I didn't want to overwhelm them and introduce them to the entire house at once, so we stayed in the living room for pretty much the entire night and then, when it was time for bed, i carried them down to my room and we slept in there.
Good morning it is the next day.
Oh my god, these are the cutest cats ever.
I have been so obsessed with them all last night and then this morning, so i brought them down to my room and then i set up their stuff right next to me and they did so good.
I thought for sure i was gonna be up all night, but they slept, they ate, they used the litter box.
I am so proud.
I even opened up the little sushi toys and they are obsessed.
I need to get more toys for them.
They have the cutest little setup over here.
They've been playing all morning and they love this little milk bed that I got them.
I think it's the cutest thing ever.
So next I'm opening up a little bag of treats and we're gonna see if they like them.
So I'm sitting in bed and I'm ordering a couple of the things that I don't have still.
I need some more like interactive toys.
So I want to get these that are on the wands.
And then I also need to order a water bowl and I want to get like the fountain.
So I found this cute pink one.
My first couple days with them were very chill.
I was honestly surprised with how well they adjusted.
Like there were no problems whatsoever with them getting to eat or drink water or use the litter box.
I decided to only show them one room at a time.
So especially at night, I would close my room door so they weren't exploring my entire house.
And I feel like that helped a lot to keep them comfortable and not super overwhelmed.
And honestly, the mornings are one of my favorite times of day with them, because they love playing in my room.
They are so cute together and honestly, I think adopting two at a time is the way to go.
I honestly did not plan to get two cats, but having them together, I think, made this entire process so much smoother too.
They play together all day long and whenever I think okay, they're probably done playing now they keep going.
They are so cute together and they're so little.
It's honestly crazy.
I'm just enjoying this time that they're little as much as possible, because i know they're gonna get big so quickly.
And honestly, since adopting cats, i've become such a morning person because they wake me up early every morning and they are probably the only things i could not be mad at for waking me up early, because without them, i am not a morning person.
It's time for an update.
We have been very much settling in the last couple of weeks into my apartment.
So the first week of having my new kittens in my apartment, it was obviously a lot of adjusting.
They were pretty scared the first day or two, I would say, but every day that passed they got more and more comfortable and it has been just the cutest thing ever.
They are the most adorable cats. in the world.
And I feel like, especially now after a couple weeks, I've started to see their personalities come through a lot.
So this is Mango.
She is like the sweetest, most gentle cat.
She is so cute.
She's also been very cuddly lately, which I love.
And this is Cleo.
She is always talking.
Like she always has something to say.
They are both very curious, but I think Cleo for sure is like always getting into something, always wants to see what's going on.
And she's definitely a lot less scared than Mango is.
And it is the most adorable thing ever.
I didn't want to show them at all until I finally made this video and announced my new cat.
But there were quite a few times where I was filming and they really wanted to make an entrance.
Oh.
You are trying to sneak up and it's not gonna work.
When it comes to their food.
I've been told that I should experiment with a lot of different kinds of food so that that way they don't end up super picky.
So I'm trying out this wet food from Tiki Cat.
It's the baby flavors for eight plus weeks.
I got them when they were eight weeks old.
So right now I wanna say they're around 11.
So we're gonna try these out and see how they like them.
Also, how cute is this little paw scooper?
It helps me to open the can since I have nails.
I also got them this waterer.
I guess having like the moving water fountains is a lot better than a water bowl.
And they just started using it.
For the longest time.
Their favorite part of this was the cord, and they would just play with that all day.
And I was like, okay, you guys actually have to get used to using this.
And they finally have.
So I'm very happy about that.
And also I think they're loving this food.
For the first week, I only fed them the wet food that they were eating prior to me getting them.
That way they kept eating because it was already what they were used to.
And I think it made them feel a lot more comfortable to eat when they were here.
So I kind of just started branching out into new foods.
And so far it's going very well.
They also finally just started eating dry food.
They wouldn't touch it for the longest time.
I just want to make sure they get all of their food in, because kittens eat so damn much like they eat like three or four times a day, which is so crazy.
So I'm so glad they're eating enough.
It's crazy to say that I've already had Cleo and Mango for over a month.
And when I'm uploading this video, it'll probably be closer to two months.
What's crazy too is how much they've grown already.
I didn't realize how much bigger they had already gotten until I watched back videos from the day I adopted them.
You guys are gonna be seeing them in so many upcoming videos.
Like they're just gonna be in the background now in all my videos.
I am so excited to see their personality come out more and more, but it's honestly the highlight of my day.
Like coming home and seeing them.
