The Mysteries About True Histories podcast is back for season two.
If you're a kid who would love to travel through time, to solve cool mysteries, perplexing puzzles and tricky riddles, then this podcast is the perfect audio treat for you.
Every week, join me, Molly and my best friend Max, as we take our problem-solving skills to amazing places like ancient Egypt, ancient Greece or the Galapagos Islands in 1875 to help out the one and only Charles Darwin.
We never know where we're going to wind up or what we're going to find, which is all part of the fun.
So put on your time traveling shoes and listen as a family.
You can listen to Mysteries About True Histories on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts.
Good morning and welcome to Kid News.
I'm Tori.
Today is Monday, September 29th, 2025.
And we begin with a chance to park a life-size dinosaur in your driveway.
A theme park in New Jersey is closing up shop and auctioning off all its enormous animatronic attractions.
Field Station Dinosaurs in Leona posted dozens of its Jurassic giants on Facebook Marketplace, including a 39-foot Tyrannosaurus rex advertised as slightly used, well-loved for 2700.
Also a 16-foot-tall rubber triceratops with limited motion and sound for 1600 and a Velociraptor for 700.
In a statement, the park's executive director asked and answered where do 30-plus dinosaurs go when their park closes?
Hopefully to a good home or maybe a few unexpected places.
We're ready to let the public make their best offers.
Just be sure you've got a big backyard.
Field Station officially goes extinct on November 9th.
Did the NFL fumble its halftime chance with Taylor Swift?
We may never know.
But according to celebrity journalist Rob Shooter on Substack, negotiations between the singer and the NFL fell apart over Taylor's demand to own footage of her performance, much like she now does with the masters for her music.
Shortly after that news broke, the NFL announced it's moving forward with Bad Bunny.
Super Bowl 60 will be held at the home of the 49ers, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
A double sigh of storm relief for the southeast.
Even though Hurricane Humberto briefly reached Cat 5 status over the weekend, it's weakened a bit and will remain far offshore.
And that unnamed system we told you about Friday?
It could become Hurricane Imelda as soon as today.
But, as of this recording, forecasters predict it will only parallel the east coast of Florida before making a sharp right turn away from land.
How they might interact is still anyone's guess, but Imelda is expected to hover close enough to generate a lot of rain, wind and heavy surf today from Florida through Georgia and the Carolinas.
Will they or won't they?
That's the question in the nation's capital this morning, as the two highest-ranking Democrats and Republicans from the House and the Senate meet with President Trump in a bid to avoid a government shutdown on Wednesday.
Their goal is simply to buy some time.
They need to find enough common ground to pass a bill that will pay the federal government's bills and workers for 60 more days while Congress finalizes a budget deal.
It was a wild finish to baseball's 162-game regular season and for two teams, the New York Mets and the Cincinnati Reds, it took until the final out of the final game to know who was moving on.
The answer is the Reds.
Joining them in the postseason the Brewers Phillies Cubs, Dodgers and Padres in the National League and in the American, the Blue Jays Yankees Tigers Guardians, Red Sox and Mariners.
The wildcard matchups begin tomorrow.
With just two days left to vote, the battle for the biggest belly is down to the final four.
Still in the running for the honor of getting crowned Beefiest Bear in Alaska's Katmai National Park is 128 Grazer 856, 602 and 32, who is nicknamed Chunk.
The semifinals are today and the finals tomorrow.
And while picking the portliest is fun for us humans, size is a matter of survival for the bears themselves.
They have to bulk up for their upcoming long winter sleep when they don't eat, drink or leave their dens.
A link to the live cams and voting is on our resource page.
Still to come, Loyola Chicago's high-profile courtside lucky charm calls it a day at 106.
But first, we want to wish a happy 11th birthday to Hannah Rubin of Palo Alto, California.

She's not hanging up her habit, but because of health issues she is jettisoning her jersey.
106-year-old sister Jean has been a courtside fixture for Loyola Chicago's basketball team for 30 years and went viral for her spiritual super fandom during the Ramblers' Cinderella run back in 2018.
But her age has apparently caught up with her and she's decided to retire from her official duties on campus and is a moral supporter on the sidelines.
In a letter to all the school students, she said she still will be with them in love, spirit and prayer and ended with a pep talk.
Let your dreams become reality.
Don't let anybody stop you.
