Today is Tuesday, September 16th, 2025.
And we begin with 11th hour hope for TikTok's 170 million US users.
The latest deadline for its Chinese parent company ByteDance, to sell it or get banned in the States is due to kick in tomorrow.
But White House officials announced yesterday they've reached a framework of a deal to keep it going.
According to Newsweek, ByteDance will spin off a US-only version of the app, with its own data servers and algorithm, separate from its global platform.
President Trump says he'll be speaking with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Friday to hopefully finish negotiations and sign on the dotted line.
Owen Cooper.
You'll no doubt want to make a note of that name.
The 15-year-old from the UK is now the youngest male to ever win an Emmy, taking the honor for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Netflix limited series Adolescence.
Even more remarkable, the teen is relatively new to acting.
In fact, he told the crowd he was nothing three years ago, but that if you listen and you focus and you step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve anything in life.
Who cares if you get embarrassed?
The night's other big winners, The Pit and The Studio.
But what about that creative challenge from Emmys host Nate Bargetze to all the speech givers?
He personally pledged 100000 to the Boys and Girls Club, with the amount fluctuating higher for short talkers and lower for long talkers.
Sadly, it didn't work out as hoped.
By the end of the show, the donation amount was at a negative 60000, since many winners just couldn't or wouldn't keep their remarks brief.
But all is not lost.
CBS is ponying up 100000 to the charity and Nate says he'll more than double his planned donation to 250000, bringing the evening's total to 350000.
We all have things we prefer to do with either our left or right hands, right?
Well, it turns out so do octopi.
Researchers have found the eight-legged creatures perform certain tasks with certain tentacles.
Often they like to use their front arms for reaching, lifting and lowering, while they use their back arms for locomotion and for leaning on when they sit up.
However, the researchers determined that the animal's can use any of its eight arms for any task if they want.
They just have strong preferences.
Want to live to 100?
Move to Japan.
For the 55th year in a row, the country has set yet another record high, with nearly 100000 of its residents reaching the century mark, and 88 of them are women.
The country's oldest living person is 114, and in 2021, she became one of the oldest torchbearers in Olympic history, at 109, during the Tokyo Games.
The oldest Japanese man is 111.
What's behind their longevity?
Scientists don't have all the answers, but they say diets heavy in fish and vegetables and limited in red meat and salt are largely responsible for long lives.
So is staying active.
Still to come, do you love pizza?
Then New Haven, Connecticut is where you wanted to be last Friday.

Friday.
What's the name of the youngest male to ever win an Emmy?
Owen Cooper, who's 15 and won it for Best Supporting Actor.
What was the final tally of Emmy host Nate Bargetzi's short speech challenge to winners?
Minus 60000, but he and CBS are making up the difference, and then some with a donation of 350000 to the Boys and Girls Club.
What country has the most citizens who are over 100 years old?
Japan, with nearly 100,000 residents who have reached the milestone.
In today's Kid News Kicker, the Guinness Book says it's official.
After 10000 slices, over 4500 partygoers and four hours, last Friday afternoon, New Haven Connecticut, was officially recognized for throwing the largest pizza party ever.
There were rules to achieve this honor.
Participants had 15 minutes to eat two slices and drink one bottle of water within a fenced-in area.
Volunteer stewards made sure they ate the whole slice, even the crust.
New Haven took the crown from Tulsa Oklahoma, which had set the world record for largest pizza party back in 2023.
Thanks again to the Gomez family of Miami, Florida for sponsoring today's quiz.
