Welcome to Baby Wordplay.
This is Miss Pam. I am so happy you are here.
I want you to sing along with me, rhyme along with me, talk along with me, clap along with me, move along with me.
Feel free to pause the episode, repeat a song or a rhyme, and remember to check the show notes for episode information.
Here are a few important things to remember to get the most out of your time together.
Tune into your little one.
Pick a time of day when you and your baby are in a good mood.
Position yourself directly in front of and close to your child.
Include lots of eye contact and smiling to connect with your baby and build their social and cognitive skills.
Did you know that pointing and other gestures precede and predict language development?
So show your little ones how to twinkle their fingers and clap their hands.
Sing and talk a bit more slowly so your little one can hear the smallest sounds and words.
And use a sing -songy style as much as you can.
Studies show that babies learn more that way.
Feel free to pause the podcast and repeat any song if your baby wants an encore.
And most importantly, have fun!
Let's say hello. Clap your hands up and down in time with the rhythm and sing along with me.
Peanut, butter, marmalade and jam.
Let's say hello as low as we can.
Hello, hello, hello.
Peanut, butter, marmalade and jam.
let's say hello as high as we can hello wave your hands up high peanut butter marmalade and jam let's say hello as slowly as we can put one arm on top of the other like the arms of a clock we say hello Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Peanut, butter, marmalade and jam Let's say hello as fast as we can Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello Wiggle your fingers as fast as you can Hello, hello, hello You can tickle your baby right here Hello, hello, hello Peanut, butter, marmalade and jam Let's say hello as softly as we can.
