That is one deal that so far has not fizzled.
That's today's expression.
Fizzled. F-I-Z-Z-L-E-D.
If something fizzles, it goes out.
This word actually is related to a flame and you can imagine a candle.
A candle is burning, but as the candle finishes, it goes...
It makes that sound. It does.
Candles make that sound and it fizzles out.
It goes out. Two fizzles means to go out.
It dies. I used this expression in daily English all the time, let's listen to the dialogue and then I'll explain.
I heard they have driverless cars in San Francisco.
They did. Not anymore. It fizzled.
Too many problems. That's right.
Driverless cars. They have them and they test them, but it's not popular yet because there are too many problems, so they have this idea, but they were going to do it in San Francisco.
They were going to have driverless cars, but it fizzled.
It died. Apple computer.
Everybody loves that. Well, 50% of the world seems to love Apple.
Apple created a mouse, you know, a computer mouse and they call it the magic mouse and they came up with a new design, but it fizzled.
Why? because the USB charging port was on the bottom of the mouse, meaning if you had to charge the mouse, give it power, you couldn't use it.
So it's stupid. So the Apple's magic mouse fizzled.
CNN had an online platform where you could watch CNN news, CNN videos, CNN specials and they called it CNN plus and you had to pay like $7 a month.
It was pretty cheap, but nobody watched it.
It fizzled. Do you have an MP3 player?
I do. I think I have like two or three MP3 players, but I don't use it.
I haven't used one in over 10 years.
MP3 players fizzled. And another really sad example, romance.
Let's say you're in a relationship, but you're not feeling anything.
You could say your relationship or your romance has fizzled.
Don't give up. It's always possible to restart that romance.
Even though it's fizzling, even though you think it has fizzled, there might be a chance.
There's a chance. Maybe possibly.
So as you guys know, I let you try my VIP lessons for free, a DTM lesson and a perf lesson.
And you can even join live classes for free for two weeks.
Now this deal will fizzle.
It's going to die. I'm going to change the deal.
But right now, what's the date?
It's January 6th, 2023.
So as of now, this deal is still on, but it will fizzle.
I'm guessing before February of 2023, this deal will fizzle.
So this is a great opportunity to try the lessons with zero risk to you.
If you like the lessons, join us.
Okay? They're the best lessons ever.
I'm serious. But yeah, also, we have a lot of people who are interested in private one on one lessons.
Now, as you know, private one on one lessons are not cheap.
But if you are interested, if you have an urgent need to improve your English, but you don't have the time to go to the United States to study for eight weeks in some university English program, maybe you're a business professional and you have to go to another country to live there for six months or a year and you need to quickly improve your English, then I want you to go to let's master English dot com slash private.
We have a video there. Watch the video and after you watch the video, if you're interested in the private lessons, go ahead and schedule a talk.
We'll interview you and if everything is good, we can set you up with private lessons pretty much immediately.
So check that out. And of course, check out the dialogue two more times and together, let's master English.
I heard they have driverless cars in San Francisco.
They did not anymore. And fizzled too many problems.
