Long ago, in an era before modern conveniences, a young boy named Torod lived in a cave with his family. During this time, the concept of "dishes" was entirely unknown; the inhabitants had "no chairs or beds" and lived in a primitive state. Torod’s favorite pastime was playing with the "soft yellow mud" found along the riverbank, a simple hobby that would eventually lead to a monumental discovery.
One day, while playing with a "big mud ball," Torod used a "sharp stick" to dig a hole, forming a shape that resembled the "large nutshells" his mother used to transport water. Excited by his creation, he presented the "mud bowl" to his mother. However, the initial attempt was a failure. When filled with water, the bowl caused the liquid to become "muddy," making it impossible to drink. His mother, disappointed, declared, "We had better throw it away," and tossed the bowl into the fire.
This act of discarding the bowl proved to be the catalyst for a technological breakthrough. When Torod retrieved the object after the fire had died down, he observed a remarkable change: the mud had transformed from "yellow to a bright red." More importantly, the bowl had hardened and lost its solubility. When Torod attempted to soften it again by holding it under water, he discovered that "the bowl did not get soft." Crucially, the water placed inside remained clear, proving that the firing process had rendered the mud durable and waterproof.
Realizing he had discovered a way to create superior vessels, Torod refined his craft. He made a "larger bowl," ensured it was "round and smooth," and deliberately baked it in the fire. The success of this second bowl was undeniable. It did not break, maintained its vibrant red color, and effectively held water without tainting it.
Torod’s innovation quickly spread throughout his community. He became busy "teaching others how to make bowls" and the process of "baking them in the fire." This led to the mass production of various vessels—"big ones and little ones, deep ones and flat ones." These items, finally utilized for "eating and drinking," marked the transition into the era of the very "first dishes," forever changing how humanity interacted with their food and water.
