Okay, enough chit -chat.
Let's get into today's expression.
Today's expression looks really easy but saying it and using it, you have to be careful.
The expression is but no. Yeah, just two words, but, B -U -T, and then no, and oh.
But the intonation, the way you say no, is very, very important.
Okay? So, let me give you an idea.
I was watching my university, actually not my university, but my home state university team play football, and Wisconsin, Wisconsin Badgers, they were playing Iowa and they lost and they could've won, but no. No, they made stupid mistakes.
They had so many opportunities to win.
But no, they had stupid mistakes.
But no, something should have happened.
But no, there was a silly problem.
There was a ridiculous problem.
There was some sort of tragedy.
3. Another example about a week ago my internet wasn't working and it was really frustrating because there's a guy that I like who teaches online and I wanted to watch his live class but no my Internet wasn't working.
I could have been watching his live class and I could have been chatting and asking questions, but no. My internet was not working.
It's terrible. Yes, it's true.
And you know what, of course in this situation my internet started working and his class just finished.
Oh yeah, that's Murphy's law.
Okay, I've got a great dialog So check it out how to use but no Want some more KFC no I could have been grilling, but no I'll quit complaining the rain is nice.
I wanted hamburgers on the grill Every Monday I go to my mom's house and have dinner and My favorite dinner is when my dad Barbecues, when he cooks outside on the grill, it can be hamburgers, it can be anything.
I don't care what he cooks.
If he's grilling, it tastes really good.
I just love grilled meat, but believe it or not, sometimes it does rain in the desert, and when it rains, it's very difficult to grill.
It's not that easy, and my dad will not grill in the rain.
This is the situation.
So we were going to have hamburgers on the grill, but it rained So my mom bought KFC chicken what the heck one C more KFC no I Could have been eating hamburgers on the grill, but no it had to rain in the desert it never rains But when it does I guess it's good.
This is the idea. It's a good expression But once again you cannot say.
But no I could have been grilling but no What you could say that but it's no fun.
I want you to say it like a real human being Let's check out that dialogue two more times.
See if you can make your own Situation and once again go to our community page and practice with somebody check it out Want some more KFC no, I could have been grilling, but no I'll quit complaining.
The rain is nice. I wanted hamburgers on the grill.
Want some more KFC?
No. I could have been grilling, but no. I'll quit complaining.
The rain is nice. I wanted hamburgers on the grill.
Thank you so much everybody for listening to these podcasts and watching my videos.
They're all for free, and I love doing it.
But it is my job, and I do need your help.
Now, if you can join my classes, DDM and Perf, that's the best way.
But I know sometimes you're busy or sometimes you just don't want to.
So, there are other ways that you can help.
And one is by going to www .patreon .com slash coach shane.
and once more Patreon that's P A T R E O N D.
Dot com slash coach Shane.
That's C O A C H S H A N E.
And you can go here and you can give, you can donate, you can invest, you can become a patron of my work for as little as $1 a month.
That's it a dollar a month means a lot now if you think about it a dollar doesn't do anything That's true but if I've got 5 ,000 people listening to this podcast and every one of those people gave a dollar That's five thousand dollars, and now we're talking some nice money We are nowhere near Five thousand dollars, but I tell you what if I get If I get I guess about 2500 dollars I will hire more people so this is an investment in your Education and yes the money comes to me, but I don't spend the money.
You know at baseball games I actually spend the money on the business and the more you help the more the business grows, the more we can give you, but it needs you, we do need your help.
