It's imagination time with Katie.
This episode is called Wheels on the Bus.
Hello, hello.
It's good to be with you, my friend.
Hello, hello.
I'm glad we're together again.
We've got Zach on the keys.
Katie singing, la, la, la, la, la.
We'll have some fun and our imaginations go on adventures again and again.
Hello, hello.
It's good to be with you, my friend.
Hi, friends.
I'm Katie, and this is Zach.
Hello, hello.
Today, we're going on a journey to a very special place.
Going to this place isn't like going to the park or going to Grandma's house.
It's not actually a real place.
This place only exists in our imaginations.
And it can be anything you want it to be.
Maybe you'd like to go to Ice Cream Mountain, where it snows sprinkles.
Or maybe you'd like to go to a glittery waterfall that makes sparkly mist in the middle of a forest filled with magical creatures.
Or maybe you'd like to go to Bouncy Castle City.
Where the streets are all bouncy.
That's so much fun.
But how do we get to these imaginary places?
I'm glad you asked, Zach.
To get there, we're going to ride...
The bus.
The bus?
Yeah.
We'll ride the bus in our imaginations to a special imagination destination that only exists in our minds.
And to do that, we'll start by closing our eyes and taking a deep breath.
A bus can take us to many places in real life, but when we're traveling in our imaginations, it's nice to calm our bodies and our minds first.
Ready, Zach?
Ready, Katie.
Are you ready, friends?
Let's close our eyes and take a deep breath all together.
In one, two, three, hold it.
Out three, two, one.
Let's imagine we're standing on the sidewalk next to a tall sign.
We look up and see bright red letters that say, bus stop.
I imagine a big bus with big wheels that go round and round pulls up in front of us and comes to a stop.
It's so shiny and clean.
I imagine it looks like it's sparkling in the sunlight.
This is the bus that's going to take us to that special place in our imaginations.
Our imagination destination.
I imagine I feel a tingle of excitement go through my body.
From the top of my head down to the tip of my toes.
The bus is ready for us.
Let's take one more deep breath all together.
In one, two, three, hold it.
Out three, two, one.
Oh, we don't want to miss the bus.
Let's get on.
The doors on the bus go open and shut, open and shut, open and shut.
The doors on the bus go open and shut all through the town.
Let's imagine the doors of the bus opening wide.
Inside, the big steps lead up, up, up to a long row of seats.
Let's find a place to sit.
Everybody ready?
Let's go!
Okay!
Off we go!
The wheels on the bus go round and round, Round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round All through the town.
We're on our way.
Let's look out the window.
What do you see?
I imagine the outside passes by as we drive down the road.
Maybe you see a playground with kids going down the slide and swinging on the swings.
Maybe you see trees and a lake with a beach for swimming.
I imagine it's a bit hard to see because as soon as I see something, it zooms past the window and then it's gone.
Look around and see what can be found.
We can look out the window in our imaginations and see different things.
And our journey on the bus today is taking us to different places too, because we're all going to a place in our own imaginations.
Our own special imagination destination.
And it can be anything you want it to be.
Maybe you're going to a unicorn farm where you can ride a unicorn across a rainbow.
Or maybe you're going to a silly hat museum where there's lots of funny hats to see.
And you can try them on, too.
Think of the place you want to travel to in your mind.
It can be anything when you're imagining anything, oh anything, imagine with me.
Oh, I imagine there must be some bumps in the road.
This is a bumpy bus.
Can you imagine the bus bumping along the road and how that might feel?
I imagine the bumps are bouncing everyone in their seats.
The people on the bus go up and down, Up and down, up and down.
The people on the bus go up and down All through the town.
Bus stop.
Speaking of people, the bus has stopped to let more people on.
Everybody is welcome on the bus.
I imagine I see a family with a baby in a stroller coming onto the bus.
There's a woman wearing a fancy hat.
And a kid wearing a backpack and carrying a book.
Who's getting onto the bus in your mind?
I imagine I see a man with a walking cane.
Oh, well, we better make sure he gets a place to sit.
If we see someone who needs to sit down on the bus, we can offer them our seat.
We want to make sure there's enough room for everybody to get to where they're going.
You know what the driver says to help?
The driver on the bus says move on back, move on back, move on back.
The driver on the bus says move on back all through the town.
Everybody's on.
Great work.
Now, let's get these wheels moving.
I imagine I feel the engine of the bus start.
I can feel the vibration under my feet.
And then the wheels begin to roll.
The outside starts moving in the windows.
And off we go.
The wheels on the bus go round and round Round and round, round and round The wheels on the bus go round and round All through the town Vroom vroom!
I imagine the bus starts to speed up We're going fast now!
The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round all through the town.
Oh, we've stopped again.
But this time it's not a bus stop.
I imagine looking out in front of the bus and I see...
Ducks!
There's a family of ducks crossing the street.
I imagine I can see them waddling in a line right in front of the bus.
There's one, two, three, four, five, six.
Six little ducks!
Six little ducks that I once knew, Proud ones, happy ones, silly ones too, But the one little duck with the feather on her back.
She led the others with a quack quack quack Quack quack quack Quack quack, quack.
She led the others with a quack quack, quack.
I imagine the ducks are very cute.
They are in the way.
We need to get to our imagination destination.
How can we get the ducks to move?
Hmm.
Hmm.
I'm thinking a thought.
Hmm.
I'm thinking a lot.
Hmm.
We need an idea.
Let's work with what we've got.
I know.
We can use the horn on the bus.
The beep beep of the horn will let the ducks know to get out of the way and keep waddling along.
Ready?
Ready?
The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep.
Beep, beep, beep.
Beep, beep, beep.
The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep.
All through the town.
It's working.
I imagine the ducks are waddling along out of the way.
Wibble wobble, wibble wobble.
Wibble wobble, wibble wobble.
Wibble wobble, wibble wobble.
Quack, quack, quack.
There they go.
Quack, quack.
All clear.
Now the bus can keep going.
Onward to our imagination destination.
The wheels on the bus go round and round, Round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round All through the town.
I imagine I hear a new sound, A pitter-patter sound.
There's something pitter pattering on the roof of the bus.
Pitter patter, pitter patter.
I imagine I see something on the windows too.
It's raindrops.
It's starting to rain outside.
I imagine I can see the raindrops slide down the window. making squiggly lines of water.
Can you see it in your mind?
It makes everything outside look blurry.
It's hard to see.
We better use the windshield wipers and wipe the raindrops away so the driver can see.
Good idea.
We know what to do.
The wipers on the bus go swish swish swish Swish swish swish Swish swish, swish.
The wipers on the bus go swish swish, swish All through the town.
That's better.
I imagine the wipers go back and forth Pushing the raindrops away.
So the window up front is clear.
That's good.
Because I imagine the raindrops are starting to fall faster.
The pitter-patter sound is getting louder.
The windshield wipers have to go back and forth quickly.
Swish, swish, swish.
Swish, swish, swish.
I imagine the baby on the bus looks a little worried.
Oh no!
It's starting to cry.
The baby on the bus goes where, where, where?
Where, where, where?
Where, where, where?
The baby on the bus goes where, where, where?
All through the town.
It's just the rain, little one.
It will be okay.
Let's help the baby feel better.
We can sing it a happy song.
Oh, Mr Sun Sun, Mr Golden Sun, Please shine down on me.
Oh, Mr Sun Sun, Mr Golden Sun, Hiding behind a tree, These little children are asking you To please come out so we can play with you.
Oh, Mr Sun Sun, Mr Golden Sun, Please shine down on me.
It's working.
I imagine the baby stopped crying.
I imagine the rain stopped too.
That's a pretty magical song.
Hooray!
And you know what?
We're almost at our imagination destination.
We don't have much further to go now.
The wheels on the bus go round and round, Round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round All through the town.
Remember your imagination.
Destination can be anything you can imagine.
It might be a land where dinosaurs roam And the plants are taller than you.
Or maybe it's a mermaid lagoon with crystal clear waters and fish that wave hello.
My imagination destination is outer space.
Whoa.
My imagination destination is a land of cozy clouds that are super fluffy and soft all around.
Think of your imagination destination in your mind as the wheels on the bus slow down.
They go round and round, slower and slower, until they stop.
We're here.
It's time to get off.
I imagine the big doors of the bus open wide.
And our imagination destination awaits.
We step off the bus and into our imaginary world.
Wow.
Can you see it in your mind?
It's a special place just for you.
I imagine the doors of the bus close behind us.
The wheels start to turn round and round.
And we can wave goodbye to the bus as it drives away.
It's time for us to say goodbye.
Goodbye Goodbye Our time has come to an end.
Goodbye for now until we're together again.
Thanks for riding the bus with us today.
Have fun in your imagination destination.
Let's spend more imagination time together soon.
