Welcome to our segment about the FIFA World Cup.
My name is George.
I'm Ryan.
And I'm James.
In this podcast, we will tell you everything you need to know about the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Let's start with the basics.
There are 48 different teams in the World Cup.
For the first round, there are groups of four.
This is called the group stage.
In these groups, each team plays three games against other teams in their group.
If a team wins in the group stage, they get three points.
If they tie, they get one point, and if they lose, they get no points.
The top two teams from each group advance to the next round and the top eight of 12 third-place teams with the most points at the end of their three games move on to the next stage, the round of 16.
Now it's time for the scary part.
In the round of 16, if you lose, you're gone and out of the tournament.
Once the teams that advance out of the round of 16 are determined, we move on to the quarterfinals.
Again, once the teams lose in the quarterfinals, they are eliminated from the tournament.
After all of this, we're in the semifinals.
This has the top four teams competing against each other.
The two winning teams move on to the finals.
This is the final round.
This is the biggest stage in the world, with over 1.5 billion people watching every four years.
Whoever wins this is the winner of the FIFA World Cup.
Let's talk about fouls.
If a ref calls a foul and it wasn't that bad of a foul, he doesn't pull any cards.
If a foul was bad, you might get a yellow card.
Two yellow cards gets you a red card, and that gets you kicked out of the game.
If a foul was really bad, they might issue a straight red card, and that gets you kicked out of the game immediately.

Did you know that there are over 100 matches being played in the World Cup?
Another fact is, some of the top players in the World Cup this year are Kylian Mbappe, Laminia Maul, Ousmane Dembele, Vinicius Jr and Michael Olisse.
Right now, the favorite teams are Spain France Argentina Brazil Morocco, England and the Netherlands.
These teams have a good chance of winning, but when it comes to reality, the top two teams expected to face off in the finals are Spain and France.
The cup final is scheduled for July 19th at 3 p.m.

Hi, my name is Jayden and I'm going to be talking about the New York Knicks winning the championship.
The New York Knicks won 14 games in a row in NBA playoffs.
That's the second most in the NBA Finals history.
The Knicks had the biggest comeback in the NBA Finals history by 29 points.
Jalen Brunson is the first person since Magic Johnson to win a high school state championship, a college championship and an NBA championship.
Jalen Robinson scored 45 points in all.
The rest of the team combined scored 49 points.

Hi, my name is Wesley and today we are going to cover Mega Man X.
It has been 30 years since the original Mega Man and the worlds of Doctors Light and Wily.
Only two beings with unimaginable potential remain, the robots X and Zero.
When an old man known as Dr Kane finds X sealed away in the capsule, he uses the robot's programming.
He discovers that this robot has free will and creates the Reploids, a mixture of the words Replica and Android, a human robot.
Reploids have the ability to think and act on their own, just like human beings.
Later, Zero was discovered by some Reploids, and when Zero was activated, he began destroying everything in his path.
The Reploid Commander Sigma, had to stop Zero's rampage and in the fight he ripped off the crystal on Zero's forehead, infecting himself with the Zero Virus that Zero had been carrying.
Sigma's virus defense held off the virus for a while, but the Zero Virus is no ordinary bug.
It completely corrupts the infected robot and takes full control of their body, causing said robot to go on a rampage.
Zero gets repaired and becomes good friends with X.
Giant three-eyed robots called Mechanaloids begin going berserk, becoming Maverick and, as such, the Maverick Hunters are created.
Sigma becomes the Commander and X and Zero join, along with robot refloids such as Storm Eagle Chill Penguin Spark Mandrill, Armored Armadillo, Launch Octopus Flame Mammoth Boomer, Kuwanger and Sting Chameleon.
Sigma becomes infected with the Zero virus and kills a bunch of refloids without anyone noticing.
When there was an investigation, he pretended not to know anything about it.
Eventually, he springs a maverick named Vile.
Zero and X discover that Sigma is the perfect traitor behind this.
They're badly injured from their fight and prepare themselves.
X takes down Vile with Zero's help and takes down 8 Mavericks and beats Sigma.
Mega Man is a series of video games that has run since 1987.
Mega Man X was released in 1994.

Volleyball.
Hi, I'm Emerson and I'm going to be talking about volleyball and how it works.
Volleyball is a sport where two teams and Where there are two teams and one person on one team serves the ball.
Once the ball is in the air, it's in play.
Once the ball gets over the net, the other team tries to bump or set or overhand over the net.
But if the ball goes out of the lines, it is out.
Whistle.
Positions.
The positions for volleyball are first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and finally sixth.
First is a setter that means that when the ball goes over the net barely, they'll hit it.
Second is the same as first, and then third and fourth are the outside hitters.
They attack the other team, which means that they primarily do overhand serves or overhand.
Fifth is in the back of the court, where they are too close to the back to do overhand or bump.
So they have to do set, and sixth is the odd one out, so they have to serve, and after that they have the same job as fourth and third, even though they wear a different jersey.
Bumps, overhands, serves, and sets.
A bump is where you hit the ball with the lower part of your arms.
Overhand is where you jump and smack the ball with one of your hands.
Sets are where you hit the ball with your fingers and palms in an upwards motion.
A serve is when you hold the ball with one hand and then the other hand is in a fist that swings under the ball and launches it into the air.

During a single competitive volleyball match, players jump the average about 300 times.
Olympic debut.
Despite being invented in 1895, volleyball did not become an official Olympic sport until 1964 in the Tokyo Games.

The volleyball sling for a powerful one-handed block is called the King Kong.
This term is so the scene of the movie of King Kong where he swats attacking airplanes from the Empire State Building and doesn't like hitting his ass.

I like tennis.
It's my favorite sport to play.
Here, I'll tell you some rules.
So the first rule is the ball cannot go in the green.
If it does, it's the other person's point.
Rule two.
If you're playing one-on-one, then the ball goes in the doubles alley, it's out.
But if you're playing with another person, then the doubles alley counts.
That's it.
That's all I have for rules.
Now I'm going to tell you about my favorite players.
My favorite player is Alcaraz.
He's my favorite because he has great shots and swings, and center is my second favorite.
He also has some good swings, but I prefer Alcaraz.
Sinner and Alcaraz are known to be the two best players in the world.
Sinner used to be the best, but Alcaraz won.
Then Sinner won again.
So Sinner is the best now, but I hope Alcaraz wins next time.
If he doesn't, I'll be sad.
If he does, I'll be happy.
