I'm Lucy, how are you today?
In my first podcast, we learn all about sounds and the words that go with them.
There are so many sounds that we hear every day, clicks, taps, plops, and whizzes, tickling in your ear sounds and booming far too noisy sounds.
Each day is filled with wonderful sounds.
And of course, we can make sounds ourselves too.
Did you hear that? I'm making a humming sound, by gently pressing my lips together.
Can you make a sound too?
Maybe your grown -ups can show you!
It's time for our sound adventure!
But before we can start our adventure we need some sounds from our magical bag of sounds.
Are you here bag? Ah there you are!
This bag is full of exciting sounds for today's adventure.
I wonder Oh, the sounds are all spinning around.
Can you hear some of them?
Listen, it's a cow moving.
Do you think a cow will be in our sound adventure?
OK, bang, it's time for you to pick our sounds.
Let's close the zip and mix them up nicely.
Let's shake up our bag of sound and see what treasures can be found.
A bouncing ball, a swaying tree, lets open up in one, two, three.
That's a bit of a tricky one.
Let's have another listen.
Can you guess? It's the sound of a gate swinging open and shut.
A gate is like a small door and they can be made of wood or metal. Gates make all sorts of noises, some might creak or squeak open and then close with a gentle thud.
So our first sound is a gate.
Now on to sound number 2.
I wonder which sound pop out next.
Ooh, I think I know this one.
It sounds tasty. Let's have another listen.
It's the sound of someone taking a bite of an apple.
Yum! Thank you bag of sounds for us two sounds.
A gate and an apple.
Now we only need one more sound to start our adventure.
And this sound will tell us where our adventure takes place.
It could be outside or inside.
We could be out by the river or inside a shop.
Where will our sound adventure be?
Let's open the bag one more time.
It sounds like we're outside.
I can hear children playing, dogs barking and trees rustling.
I know we are in a park.
A park is a fun outdoor space where you can find grass, dogs, trees and things to play on like swings and slides.
So for today's sound adventure we are in a park with a gate and an apple.
And this is Ziva...
Hi Ziva! It's such a beautiful day so Ziva and her mum have decided to visit the park.
I wonder when our sounds will pop up?
Listen out for the gate and the apple.
Can you spot them? Then here we go...
Ziva and her mum walk to the park.
Mum pushes open the gate.
The park is full of sounds, let's listen closely.
The birds are singing.
Woof, woof. The dog box.
Mum closes the gate.
A swing goes back and forth.
Mum and Ziva sit on a bench. Mum opens her bag and gives Ziva an apple.
Ziva takes a big bite of the apple.
The apple is very crunchy.
Together they walk back through the park.
Mum opens and closes the gate.
Good -bye park. Zieva had a lovely time at the park with her mum.
They found a spot to sit and have a snack.
Zieva took a bite of her apple and it made a big crunch. Did you hear the sound of the gate and the apple?
Let's listen again and see if we can spot the sounds.
Shoutout That's the gate opening.
That's the gate's closing.
And there's the apple The Apple The Gates!

Ziva had so much fun at the park, and her apple was very yummy.
