When you want somebody's ideas, or when you want somebody's opinions, when you want to know someone's thoughts, you can use today's easy English expression.
Let's go back in time.
To pick someone's brain.
To pick someone's brain.

What does it mean to pick?
Well, sometimes to pick means to choose something. or to select, but in this case, it's different.
When we say to pick, think of a toothpick.
Do you know what a toothpick is?
T-O-O-T-H-P-I-C-K.
Yeah, it's that little tiny piece of wood or plastic.
You know if you eat some meat And then, after you eat the meat, sometimes a little piece of the meat is between your teeth.
So you need to take a toothpick and get it out of your teeth.
Children, of course not adults, like to pick their teeth with their fingers.
And then they...
Well, yeah, that's the idea of pick.
And that's the idea here.
To pick someone's brain means to go over to somebody and pick at their brain.
Oh, that sounds horrible.
What kind of terrible expression is this?
No, no, no, no, no.
It's actually a very good expression.
It means ask someone, that person for ideas.
That person is really smart.
Let's pick their brain to find some intelligence, to find some good ideas, to find a solution.
It is a great expression.

These days, lots of people are having trouble with their businesses, trying to make it grow.
I'm one of them, but uh, fortunately i don't have any employees.
I don't have to worry about a payroll.
But if you have a company, you know, with 10 people working there, 25 people working there, 50 people working there.

It's a good question.
