Listen for the sounds Listen listen listen Listen listen listen Hello Hello Hello Hello, Listen everyone.
Listen and play.
Where are we today?
Today, I'm outside.
It's rather cold and wet.
Make a picture in your head as you listen.
Listen.
Do you know what this sound is?
It's the rain.
Pitter patter go the raindrops.
It's the sound of the rain as it falls on the pavement and splatters down the gutters.
Here's another sound you often hear on a very rainy day.
Listen.
It's thunder Rumble rumble.
It's the loud rumble of thunder in the sky.
Here's a different sound that you can also hear on a very stormy day.
Do you know what it is?
Listen, it's the wind.
Whoosh, whoosh.
It's the sound of the wind whooshing and swishing as it makes the trees bend over and the leaves rustle.
Today's song is about rain and thunder.
Join in and sing.
I hear thunder with me.
You can make your fingers into pitter-patter raindrops falling through the air, if you like.
I hear thunder.
I hear thunder.
Hark, don't you?
Hark, don't you?
Pitter-patter raindrops.
Pitter-patter raindrops.
I'm wet through.
So are you.
I hear thunder.
I hear thunder, hark don't you, hark don't you.
Pitter patter raindrops, pitter patter raindrops, I'm wet through, so are you.
I hear thunder.
I hear thunder.
Hark, don't you Hark, don't you.
Pitter patter raindrops Pitter, patter raindrops.
I'm wet through, so are you.
Listen, listen, listen, it's rhyme time.
Today our rhyme's about someone who got very wet when he went out in the rain.
You might know it.
Dr Foster went to Gloucester in a shower of rain.
He stepped in a puddle right up to his middle.
And never went there again.
Listen, listen, listen.
It's story time.
Today's story is about Dr Foster.
He absolutely loves splashing about in puddles.
And sometimes the puddles are rather bigger than he realises.
Shh!
Listen, listen.
It's called Dr Foster and the Muddy Puddles.
Once upon a rainy time there was a doctor called Dr Foster.
It was his day off so he decided to visit a town called Gloucester.
But as Dr Foster set off for Gloucester, there was a shower of rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.
But this didn't bother Dr Foster.
He loved rain because rain meant puddles.
And he loved puddles more than anything.
What he loved most was splashing about in them.
I think I shall walk down the lane in this shower of rain, he said.
So he splish splashed off down the lane in the shower of rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.
As Dr Foster got to Gloucester, he saw a puddle.
He stopped and thought to himself.
I'm sure it's only a tiny puddle.
An idly, tiddly puddle.
So, he stepped in the puddle with a kersploosh.
Right up to his ankles.
Oh, a messy muddle, a muddy puddle, said Dr Foster.
My socks are soaking and I'm not joking.
I'll have to go home again to change.
So he splish splashed home in the shower of rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.
He put on dry socks.
Then off went Dr Foster once again to Gloucester in the shower of rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.
Just as he got there, he saw another puddle.
He stopped and thought to himself, I'm sure it's only a tiny puddle.
An idly, tiddly, widdly puddle.
So, he stepped in the puddle with a k-sploosh!
Right up to his knees!
Ooh, a messy muddle, a muddy puddle, said Dr Foster.
My socks and trousers are soaking and I'm not joking.
I'll have to go home again to change.
So he splish-splashed home in the shower of rain.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, pitter-patter.
He put on dry socks and trousers.
Then off went Dr Foster once again to Gloucester in the shower of rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.
When he got back there, he saw...
Yet another puddle.
He stopped and thought to himself.
Oh, I'm sure it's only a tiny puddle.
An idly, tiddly, widdly, piddly puddle.
So he stepped in the puddle with a k-sploosh.
Right. up to his middle.
Oh, a messy muddle, a muddy puddle, said Dr. Foster.
My socks and trousers and purple spotty pants are soaking and I'm not joking.
I'll have to go home again to change.
So, He splish splashed home in the shower of rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.
He put on dry socks, trousers and yellow spotty pants.
Then off went Dr Foster once again to Gloucester in the shower of rain.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.
When he got there, He saw another puddle.
Dr Foster stopped.
He thought to himself, I'm sure it's only a tiny puddle.
An idly, tiddly, widdly, piddly, squiddly puddle.
So he stepped in the puddle with a cosplosh to his chest.
What a muddly puddly mess, said dr foster, i'm totally soaking and i'm not joking.
I'm going home but i'm not going to change.
Oh no, it's a lovely bath and a cup of tea for me.
So he splish-splashed home again in the shower of rain.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, pitter-patter.
And as for going to Gloucester in the shower of rain well, I can tell you he never went there again.
Dr Foster got very, very wet, didn't he?
What a silly doctor he was.
Dr Foster went to Gloucester in a shower of rain.
He stepped in a puddle right up in his middle and never went there again.
We're going to take a walk in the rain now.
Stand up in your own space and we're going to pretend we're marching in our wellingtons.
Start marching to the music now.
March, march, march.
We're marching in our wellingtons, tramp, tramp, tramp.
We're marching in our wellingtons, we won't get damp. we're marching in our wellingtons stamp stamp stamp we're marching in our wellingtons we won't get damp we're marching in our wellingtons tramp tramp tramp we're marching in our wellingtons we won't get damp We're marching in our wellingtons, stamp, stamp, stamp.
We're marching in our wellingtons, we won't get damp.
Till next time.
Bye.
